I don’t understand the hive mentality of some of the liberals on this board. One of them comes on here, and tries to attack my legal knowledge, then cites a statute which has zero application to the subject matter of discussion, and when I point that out to him, another liberal, who has likely no knowledge of the law whatsoever, comes in defend the first liberal, who clearly also had no knowledge of the applicable law. Meanwhile, the 1st liberal has left the building because he can’t defend his position.

 

It is possible that on legal issues you may actually say something right, perhaps by accident. Unlike you I tend to reserve comment on stuff I know little about. every single thing that I have posted here regarding the law is a very well informed opinion of mine from 30+ years of practice, or the actual law as deemed by the legislative or judicial branch. Legal opinions from lawyers are neither right nor wrong until a judge says so. You are not a judge, so your opinion of my position is irrelevant to me. Your acceptance or rejection of my opinion is also of no concern to me. i’m not trying to be rude to you, I’m just trying to be honest.

 

Lawyer's "fantastic" legal analysis said Trump's fake elector scheme was never going to work because it was like a supernatural impossibility, just like laser vision. Sorry, but that's awful legal insight. I asked the questions, what might have happened if Pence went along and denied the electors from the states in question? And might might have happened if the state legislatures voted for the Trump electors?

These are possible actions. Not supernatural impossibilities. And we know Pence at the very least, questioned his legal ability to do what Trump asked. And Trump asked the state legislatures to play along with the plan. And not by using telepathy and magic, but by talking to them and sharing the plan. Nothing supernatural about it.

And unlike what happened in 1960 Hawaii, the Trump electors were 100% fake. In 1960, Hawaii's election was undergoing an official recount when both sets of electors went to D.C. Both sets of Hawaii electors knew about each other, and agreed, whoever won the recount would decide who got seated. Completely different than what Trump did. But Trump's scheme would have never worked because...none of them have magical laser vision?

You may be right about some legal issues. But given your views on other subjects is so badly misinformed, I’d have trouble trusting anything you say.
