Wouldn't it be nice.....to check rankings on Sunday and see the Gators ranked and moving up

Beat UTk and we’ll be in the Top 25.

 

I think it will have to take a 4-1, maybe 5-1 start to see us in the rankings. Most sports news this morning still don't believe we will win more than 4 games.

 

Only fun if you are in the top of the rankings and getting to argue about the crap teams getting 1st place votes in front of you.

 

Well, I'm confident that after the TN game Gator fans will either be calling for the team to be ranked or calling for a new coach.

Too many freshman and sophomores on this team for that. Give it a year or two.

 

I never cared where we’re ranked at the beginning of the year and think its dumb when people get excited about it like they did when we beat Utah last year. It doesn’t matter. Win your games and you’ll end up in the right place at the end of the year. Don’t win your games and it doesn’t matter in the slightest where you were ranked in week 2.

 

I always cared where we were ranked, even when we all say we don’t, but it doesn’t matter until the end of the year. Being ranked 4 and heading into our inexplicable annual loss to an sec west team always hurt my soul. The Trask season was amazing cuz the engine just kept having steam. Until our inexplicable loss to LSU.

 

But those freshmen did look pretty good last night. Lots of hope for next year ish. Unless the portal / credit card scam / online porn distribution scandal / PED issue taketh away.

 

By the way, I’m still a senior. Been on GC since the Fletcher hall dorms in 95. Gatorcountry was literally one of the first things I did on the internet aside from AOL chat.

 

Just win baby, the rankings will follow. Gonna have to earn the respect.

I’ve said for years they shouldn’t even have polls until like the 4th week.

Too many teams not ranked properly based on what the team did last year. Lots of guessing and it can affect things as the season goes on.

 

I don’t see us ranked unless we go 3-0 in our next 3 games.

 

Two...next year's schedule makes this year's schedule look kind.

 

I agree completely but as a society we seem to be going in the other direction, ranking and discussing things waaaaaaay too early. I’m sure there are people out there discussing Arch Manning as an NFL starter/Pro Bowler/Super Bowl winner and future NFL Hall of Famer.

 

Inexplicable two-touchdown loss to what would be an undefeated National Championship team with the Heisman Trophy winner at QB???
