I noticed that Philotv does not have any sports channels. ESPN etc. Am I mistaken? Thank you for the tip.
I have You Tube and I get all ESPN channels except ESPN news and espn + but I also have unlimited DVR with YouTube and only pay $74 a month can cancel any time. I had Verizon Fios for years in Notheast Indiana and was paying $230 a month. To get the SEC channel it was $30 a month. Now that is included with my YouTube. Quite a savings will never go back to cable!
Right, of course you have to pay for ESPN+ to use it. But if you don't also have a carrier such as YTTV or DirecTV then most of the ESPN broadcast content is locked up. If you have the carrier and log in with that then everything non-PPV is available to you. (I imagine you know this, some others may not.) I get a lot of use out of ESPN+ and appreciate its bonus content that's not on the regular ESPN channels. I thought the Sunday Ticket worked fine today. Some of the picture quality was ass and there was some slow loading. Otherwise, pretty happy.
correct. no sports, almost no news, and no locals. would only use philo after disney spins off the espn channels.
All the streaming services will be jacking up prices in the future. Just trying to kill cable and eliminate competition now. All these conference football packages via ESPN, …. we ultimately pay for. We only watch a few channels. Will be cheaper when we can buy only what we like and not be forced to pay for the bundle.
Did the free trial of YouTube tv with Sunday ticket yesterday. It worked great. No issues at all and was able to watch the games I wanted.
Not Spectrum fault. Hulu/Fox/Disney has the power because they own ESPN, (and obviously want the business. It’s amazing they haven’t done this earlier. Sort of forcing people to cut the cord unless you live in LA and I’m sure some other markets where if you went to get rid of spectrum cable, you lose snla (spectrum news la), the only one way to get dodgers game, all of them anyway. Only other place is a $25 add on to DirectSTREM.
