Mcneese State was so bad… I wish we could have played one of the directional Florida schools instead. But if somehow there were mental issues at play in the Utah loss, I hope the Gators got over those during all those TD drives, and get some confidence back before the real tests begin
Commentators said a couple of times we don't have a single senior in the defensive 3-deep. Since they said a number of -- hmm, how shall I said it -- alternative facts...is this one actually true? If so, and if a lot of minutes the last two games went to freshmen, then it makes the performances more explicable.
I wore my earbuds to the game. Micks replacement is a good one. lots of complainers in the stands. Honestly, just shut up and keep it to yourself. No one wants to know how stupid you are. I never see 24 ounce beers except at sporting events walked over to the east stands at half time. It is the very definition of steerage. Nice to see so many stick around for the start of the fourth quarter still gives me goosebumps when ‘hey baby’ hits.
The instant on-off lighting effects for the touchdowns was pretty cool. It’s felt daylight bright in there. I didnt realize they made an upgrade for this seaso until reading about it on GC today, but subconsciously during the game I noticed it just seemed brighter.
They were very bright. I sit down low in section 18 and it was like a bright sunny day. My friend who wears glasses said he had a bad glare because it was so bright. I like the light strobing effects after TDs but wish it was more blue or orange than the white.
He's punted 5 times and 4 of them were really productive, 3 over 50 yards. But all season only thing anyone will remember is he shanked one vs Utah. A kickers life. Evan McPherson was phenomenal but his miss against LSU is the kick everyone remembers
Yes, we played an overmatched team. But I can't tell you how many times in recent years we have played overmatched teams and the score by the middle of the second quarter was 7-3, 7-7, etc. and our offense looked so disorganized. I didn't see that last night and that is encouraging. The defense was even better. With so many young players, we are bound to take our lumps. However, we seem to be playing better, fundamentally, and that bodes well for us later in this season and the coming years.
