Yep. Even our struggling team last year made it a game against Tennessee’s best team in a long time. Hopefully, the universe corrects its mistake from 2022.
I wish they would let him run some downfield routes. He obviously has some jets...something our WR crew seems to lack other than Pearsall.
ST still needs work. Biggest positive was how well the D maintained their lanes even with the 2’s. Still growing pains, but we haven’t seen that in years. Being in position allows them to play downhill. The running game is what I expected. It was McNeese and they were overmatched. I would have like to see more explosive plays and spreading the field. All in all, a great day to be a Gator.
If Wilson’s downfield blocking and route running are not there yet then we need to use him in different ways. He has Harvin/Demps type speed. He needs the ball in his hands.
She also said McNeese had “seventeen” points instead of “seven”. She’s awful, and it has nothing to do with being a she.
I was close on the score. Never predict a 50+ game with Napier at the helm, that's not his style. I did like the safety. Now we see how this carries over to the Vols game next weekend.
I’m glad the gators played Utah the first game. We knew where we stood after that game instead of playing a filler game. We knew what needed to be fix and our weaknesses. A tune up game to correct the procedural penalties and communication issues. UT on the other hand ? What do they really know about their team? Not much both games didn’t test them.
Not only arm tackles as tgat usually means you’re late getting there, what drove me crazy was the trying to make this dramatic blow up hit and not wrapping up which so often ended up being a longer gain. Just tackle with some damn form and put the guy on the ground.
I think the Defense flies around and plays as a cohesive unit which I haven’t seen in a few years. I can say that confidently through two games. And I do think we have a lot of speed on defense that we haven’t had in a couple of years but we also have young guys getting blocked and pushed around who need to get their weight up… You can look really fast vs overmatched competition but in the SEC you can just get blocked, pushed around or over pursue and that concerns me a little bit but it looks like the scheme is much better and guys look like they know where to go
That coach is teaching those boys real shit. One of mine is at Paris Island fine tuning that attitude.
Yea that’s the issue. He just basically got to campus and is learning the playbook. Remember last week where he didn’t know the play and ran the wrong route? We will work him in more as he continues to grow. The dude is special.
