What does that have anything to do with that tweet? Some people love to hate everything just to hate it. That tweet didn't mention points or game outcomes of those others players

 

Yeah, but the snarky point is valid. The tweet was a sunshine pumping comparison that truly would matter if we were scoring points to go along with those completions. I don’t care if he completes 40%, as long as we are putting the ball in the end zone at the right times and winning games.

 

Shane was pointing out that there is only 3 other QB's in the history of UF who have thrown for 300+ yards, 30+ completions with %70 completion percentage.

It didn't say Mertz was next to have a statue out front, it simply elaborated on a stat accomplishment which should be a positive in a season that is one game in with a QB who has played 1 game for UF. It pointed out a stat that very few have accomplished for the University after an entire off season of every talking head saying Mertz can't throw the ball. Just Take it for what it is.
