Crap, man, this looks like a killer hurricane. I hope if veers off into the Atlantic Ocean.

Pressure is down to 933 and still falling.

Pressure is still falling. Down to 928mb (55mb drop in 12 hours), and not done.
In the forecast discussion from the NHC you can see even they are in shock. They now have it topping out at 180mph, but who knows.

Impressive! Wilma is the Atlantic record as far as I can tell. (While Labor Day Hurricane was 892).

    Wilma.

The central pressure reached 882 mb, making Wilma the most intense hurricane ever in the Atlantic Basin, a full 6 mb lower than Hurricane Gilbert in September 1988.

Gilbert and Wilma did it in the warm and sheltered Caribbean, this is in the open Atlantic, which is even more impressive.

Whatever happened to Trumps plans to blow up hurricanes with nuclear bombs. We need more fresh ideas like that. Redirecting them with a sharpie was a good start though.

Can we please keep these threads informative about the storm? If you want to demonstrate your lack of understanding of climate change, start another thread so we can ignore it.

Are you going to say the same to those dropping sharpie jokes? Though its funny, its not informative and borderline political.
