according to today's Wall Street Journal's ranking which measures salaries and outcomes.

    #15 overall.

    Ahead of Duke.

We are now top 5 with Forbes, US News and World Report and now the WSJ.

    Well Done!

We are seventh best public in Forbes if I read it right, but 27th overall including liberal arts schools (which aren’t in the us news ranking where we are 29 overall I think).

Us news comes out sept 18th. They revamped their criteria this year to favor outcomes and social mobility, which should both help us. But you have to figure all the political turmoil will hurt with the peer evaluations, so that one will be interesting.

I was a freshman in 1984. One year later and I would not have gained admittance. And that was with a 1250 SAT (max 1400 then)

Made the mistake of delaying core biology until my sophomore year. Those incoming kids were sharp and I had to work hard for two Bs.

I shudder to think about the kids applying now.

All time though, Princeton has 15 and Yale has 18.
    Which is pretty crazy.

We don't care to compete with football powerhouses like Duke anymore. We are an academic school.

UF achieved this in a culture focused on excellence in research, scholarship and science. Does that still exist in Florida? Insert a "Too Hot For Swamp Gas" comment here.

    In my head--- UF
Come on man. Enjoy this accolade. 4000 students graduate from UF each year (maybe more?) I'm not sure that the football overall records mean squat to employers.

You have to be a little impressed with FIU sitting at 29. They opened their doors in 1972.
