The problem with your outrage on that system is it’s selective. You don’t appear to be this righteous about other similar statements, so it doesn’t seem genuine. Consistently matters, here.

The Republican Party has become a weird amalgamation between those who only care about their taxes, the mysoginistic believers in god and Jesus but not the Bible and racists. There is some overlap but those who still support Trump need some kind of psychological help.

So since we're going purely by biology then women shouldn't be in the armed forces. Women by and large are physically weaker and less mentally capable of handling the horrors of war. Yet we still let women in our armed forces.

There is no financial burden on her. The woman can still have the abortion.

And in what world do you live in that men can just walk away? Yes some men do get away with no paying child support but that's only because the woman, for various reasons, doesn't pursue it. Make no doubt about it, if a man gets a woman pregnant they are at the absolutely mercy of the woman. The woman can make the man's life miserable if they want to. The woman still has all the power. Whether she chooses to use that power is her decision.

And yet in your system you allow one a get out of jail free card. While the other could have done everything right and is now essentially a slave and imprisoned to a child they didn't plan or want for the next 18 years of their life. Real equality there.

I have met plenty of women more capable than me, a man, at both hand-to-hand and weapons style combat. Your description that all women are physically weaker and less mentally capable is pure bull. Overall, men are physically stronger, but there are women who are more capable than 90%+ of men.

The reality is, there isn't a job a man can do that a woman cannot. Fire fighter, police, military, and more. Plenty of women who won't want these jobs, but plenty of men too. Women may not be able to run as fast or carry as much weight as the fastest and the strongest, but people don't need to be Olympic athletes to do these jobs. And women are capable.

In contrast, men can't get pregnant.

Average cost of an abortion is around $800, depending. That's a burden on some. Especially lower class. I'm in a position now to afford say a $800 car repair today. But that hasn't always been the case. Plenty of people would struggle with an additional $800 bill, and in fact, the number one reason a woman waits for an abortion is because she can't afford it. $800 pales in comparison to the price to raising a child, but it's a financial burden for many.

In this world. If the woman doesn't know the man other than his first name, and the man never takes a DNA test, it's possible the man can walk away and never be found. Maybe the woman can hire a PI, but again, that costs money. And Private Investigators aren't 100% in finding people. If someone wants to disappear, they can change their name, go "off the grid" and make it difficult to be found.

Again, if a man could get pregnant, and face all the potential problems and pitfalls that come with it, then the law could be equal. But biology limits a man from getting pregnant. Therefore, it's impossible for the law to be equal.

Physical differences do exist on average across the two groups. Not sure if there's evidence that women have lesser mental capability for war, but even assuming that's also true, there are exceptions to most rules, not to mention that there are lots of jobs in the Armed Forces that aren't combat roles. I don't see how it should follow that all women should be categorically banned from the armed forces with zero consideration of their individual abilities and merits.

With respect to pregnancies, biological girls/women are the ones who get pregnant and would need to nourish and carry the embryo/fetus and give birth and all that comes with that. The entire thing is asymmetric and arguably unfair from the start.

Not sure I follow, is the idea the father should not be obligated for financial support if he didn’t want the child?

Not to be outdone here comes Alabama wanting to restrict the free travel and movement of some of its citizens.

Alabama can prosecute those who help women travel for abortion, attorney general says

Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall said the state can prosecute people who help women travel out of state for abortions in response to a lawsuit filed by a pro-abortion rights group and owners of women’s clinics.

After the Dobbs decision, Alabama outlawed almost all abortions in the state. The Human Life Protection Act created a class A felony for performing abortions, which is punishable by up to life in prison.

Though abortion may be legal elsewhere, it is plainly illegal pursuant to Ala. Code § 13A-4-4 for Plaintiffs to conspire with others to procure abortions that would be illegal in Alabama,” according to Marshall’s motion. “The criminal conduct is the agreement (the conspiracy) itself, which is conduct that occurs in Alabama that Alabama has every right to prosecute. Thus, the legality of abortion in other States is irrelevant to whether Alabama can prosecute a conspiracy formed in Alabama.”

It’s stupid. But that’s apparent to most everyone here. Does it make you feel better knowing that?

Thanks for being the arbitrator of what’s important on a thread when someone makes a disgusting comment, any thoughts or that little nugget or are you going to. rush it aside or minimize it like a few have done? Just curious.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions as am I, so naturally I disagree with you and your opinion. I think everybody has selective outrage as you put it, you selectively choose to show outrage with my comments

Correct. A mother can get out of it via abortion if she didn’t want the child. A father shoukd have the same option. It’s not even about abortion, it’s about being able to choose when you are ready to be a parent. This is allowed for women, it’s not allowed for men.
