I'm certainly not saying that Democrat politicians don't also put party above country (most probably do it sometimes, and some probably do it most times), but the continued reckless attacks by the GOP on the credibility of our legal and government institutions seems so antithetical to protecting our country's future.

Has anyone ever seen anything like the last 8ish years regarding a political party's core ideology and strategy to be the erosion of faith in our institutions? It becomes hard not to view these efforts as anti-America.

That is an apt description of what was once a small fraction of the group. It does seem at times as if that fraction has increased - or maybe they just got louder.

 

I see it too as more how that fraction has influenced thinking.
