Never said he was a great guy and you make an important point: Folks don't like BK and even if for good reason, their dislike might engender a certain bias.
I'm surprised I'm not seeing more Clemson bashing. A top #10 team coached by one of only 5 active head coaches to have a Natty to his name (he has 2,) clobbered by a unranked basketbal team. Shit at least we were the unranked team that got beat by a ranked , 2 time defending conference champ. Just kinda surpising Dabo isn't getting buried on here yet.
Dabo is being left behind... Adapt or die. Dabo refused to adapt, he has a PLAN. He wants to build his program through HS recruiting, and he has done that, until the NIL/portal rules changed.... So it's a fundamental thing, unless he admits he's wrong and changes, Clem will not go back to the glorious day, and even if he decides to change it, it may already be too late. At UF, the same ting. BN wants an out-dated play-action/game-manager O since that's the only thing he understands and feels comfortable with. Unlike Dabo, he has never had meaningful success with it, but he sticks with it anyway and think it will work in SEC... And even if he decides to change it, it may already be too late..., but at least there will still be a chance. Otherwise, another 2 yrs of misery for UF and we start over again
All major d1 fans are the same. Again, if you can’t handle it maybe go to some small school no one cares about or play another sport.
Whatever dude. Just look at the recruiting rankings. Look at how many end up in the league. By every measure - other than your eye - LSU has the better roster.
Let's come back in a year and see how many are drafted, where they are drafted, etc. I'll put $100 up right now that LSU ends up with higher numbers than FSU in every category.
Okay dude, "overrated". Is that better? Either way, he's not worth 9M/Season and I don't see him winning a NC here either. Shocking the way that team just quit in the second half. Like I said, I don't think he's putting in the same work here (culture) and I don't think he thought he'd have to.
There is no shame in losing to Utah but to play devil's advocate, they only gained 270 yards of offense against a brand new UF defense that had been pretty poor in 2022. They also let a career 60% passer in Graham Mertz complete over 70% of his passes. Their only INT was because of the WR. The numbers say Utah is not actually that good but they are well coached and made the plays they needed to make to win easily.
Hah. I know it's too early, but based on both fanbases reactions so far, it looks like the last coaching carousel with Brian Kelly and Napier was no different from the Mullen, C. Kelly, and Scott Frost hiring's. Still waiting on how Lincoln Riley performs through a few seasons.
Not sure about the better roster part. Half Ass U has a veteran QB, and most of their best talent came from the portal and are upper classmen. Remains to be seen if Norvell can keep it going next year when their 8' tall recievers leave and the QB graduates. Maybe he will just raid the portal again.
That's a fair point. But, top to bottom, I'm still taking LSU's roster over FSU's. FWIW, I was rooting for FSU as I put LSU in that greasy category with Bama and Georgia. They'd gladly take a 200point tumble in academic status for a football NC. It's literally just a professional team.
I base that in part on comparing them to SEC-level teams, which top to bottom are going to be better, plus the fact that they were missing critical starters. For crying out loud, their QB was at the time a walk on who punched us in the mouth first play for a 70 yard TD. Rewarded suitably with a scholly afterwards.
Nope. He sucks. He lost the game. Fire him. Look at what the Duke and Colorado coaches have done. No excuses.
