They won't even let me see SEC Network on my computer search... So... they can now limit your internet service to what you can get on your cable box? How is that even legal?

Disney cut off YouTube as well...

I may need to give them a try. I’m not particularly happy with att customer service either.

I just signed up for YoutTube TV. Free for 21 days. I'm watching ESPN now.

So, I imagine you can get all their sister networks too?

I looked into YouTube and put my zip code in and ESPN was not included. I live in central Florida.

I live in Orlando. Yes, I saw ESPNU etc. I signed up for this a couple years ago and did the research on the channels.

I'll have to see if they changed that for new accounts and grandfathered the older accounts with ESPN.

I would love for ESPN to spin off from Disney. Apple showed some interest in buying ESPN recently. Tim Cook is an Auburn Graduate... you know he would take care of the SEC areas, and schools...

They just showed an ocean shore instead of a commercial and said "Enjoy the zen, we'll be right back". I'm liking this.

I have Apple TV, I haven't watched it lately. I got it free with my Spectrum cell phone service. What a tangled web of broadcasting! If ESPN went there, I'd have to keep it I guess.

Actually, as streaming costs rise there is a trend back to cable. Many people find it much easier to navigate.

I just cancelled my Spectrum cable on Friday. Took me two hours to do it as they kept coming back with cheaper deals (not better, just cheaper). When I asked if any of these deals gets ESPN or SEC network back on my TV she said no. CANCELLED!
Got YouTube TV. I used the suppose.tv website that someone on here turned me on to.

I can see that. I just don’t watch a lot. I don’t have cable. I pay for Hulu when the season starts and then cancel when it’s over. Kids have Netflix which is super cheap.

Me too, had already been looking for streaming services to replace them, my bill goes up about every other month….$47 in the past year. Had Sling TV setup and running by mid second quarter. Called Spectrum the next day to opt out of everything but internet. Was on hold for almost an hour, didn’t sound like they were having a good day.

So you didn’t lose ESPN on Thursday? I’m in Cantonment and mine cut off right at game time!

We have fiber optic available. AT&T put theirs in a couple years ago and Wire3 this year. Wire3 actually ran theirs all the way to my service pole, in fact!

I've been with Spectrum cable since I bought my house in '96. There have been a few rough spots and of course during hurricanes you lose Internet, but overall I stuck with them while adding a couple streaming services.

As I said before....the CONVENIENCE of only needing 1 remote and just flipping directly to whatever channel you want is what I like most about cable. And as the alternatives went up in price....it just made more sense FOR ME to stay with cable. I only pay $160/month and that's for Internet and TV, not including Netflix and ESPN/SEC+ streaming.

So this morning I went on Wire3's website and they have a page where you can pick out your favourite channels and see what provider (Hulu, etc.) gives me what I want.

The result is all options left off certain channels I currently have and enjoy through Spectrum.

Right now I'm OK for ESPN/SECN, etc. because I subscribed to You Tube TV last week. But unless Spectrum comes to an agreement with Disney, I will be paying EXTRA now just to maintain what I had.

I do intend to call Spectrum to discuss any kind of refund. We'll see.

I'm no tycoon but I do like my TV options so hopefully they get this worked out and I can go back to what I had.

I also think the day will come when I don't put such a priority on TV options. Maybe then I will go fiber optic....

Yep. Spectrum makes most of their money on the Internet service anyways, they'll be fine regardless.

It comes down to whether Spectrum can make multi-channel video services more profitable again. They've decided the way to do so is to incorporate the streaming services into their bundle packages. Which makes sense, I hope they're successful.

Spectrum is giving me $10 for last month and this month as "compensation" for not having ESPN networks on cable. That's BS token compensation. And that still does NOT make up for them not informing me in advance about the Game not being televised. I'm sure Disney is at fault here too.
