Fine line I guess. Hasn’t worked much the last 3. I thought the front was doing a better job of applying pressure and controlling the run game.
I agree, with your post, it was a small sample size and I don’t think BN is a QB guru. I am puzzled by the NFL’s response to him based on what you mentioned but I am old enough to remember Jeff George and that’s what it reminded me of, teams seduced by “what if” as opposed to what we all saw. People get married thinking they can “fix” their prospective spouse every day, only to find out they can’t.
These 2 offenses are light years ahead of what we have imo. Our OL is average at best which is a huge problem. That alone hinders an O no matter what scheme you have. BN O reminds me so much of muschamps O geared for ball control. Lots of east and west passing which apparently we can’t convert into a first down. Rarely do we go mid range or deep. Furthermore this O is not geared to play catch up and we will have lots of games trying to catch up. I’m watching this game and both teams look far superior than UF. FSU is likely in the playoffs by years end while we will be fortunate to win 6 games.
Have to rush him and have to tackle him. Wilson and Coleman are problems in the outside, especially if you give them as much time as LSU is giving them. Can’t just bring base defense at him have to bring an extra guy and tackle him.
Florida State much better than I thought. I believe 11 or 12 of their 22 starters are portal guys. These portal guys are really good.
