Did you mention they were missing 8 starters? We weren't so much as beaten by a better team, we made far too many inexcusable mistakes. We were definitely not prepared to play catch up as with zero urgency. I could go on but it would be beating a dead horse.

People forget that under Zook we won some pretty big games, including beating #1 and eventual national champion LSU, #2 GA and #10 Ark in a 3 or 4 game stretch. Problem he couldn’t consistently win the games we should have, usually at home.

It’s a conundrum. Both sides are right here. I acknowledge that the constant hiring/firing train we are on is a disaster for the program, which is already not in a good place. At the same time I did not and do not feel like Napier is the right guy for the job. So do you damage the program by getting rid of the wrong guy or damage the program by allowing the wrong guy to continue to lose games? I am frustrated because I watch our rivals make better hires than us. When Alabama needed a coach, they hired a guy who won a Natty at LSU. When LSU needed a coach they hired the guy from Notre Dame. When Auburn needed a coach they hired a guy who took Ole Miss to #1 and beat Bama. We hire dudes from Texas who masterminded the first draft class in 50 years to have zero players drafted to the NFL, who were doing a fair job at Colorado State or who were coaching in the Sunbelt and yet we expect to hang with Bama and Georgia. It seems like there isn’t a solution to this that will not involve pain or be the wrong answer to half the fanbase.

I think you missed my point or perhaps were not aware that UMich forced Harbaugh to take a pay-cut. You are advocating UF taking the UMich approach when dealing with an under-performing program....how do you think Napier would react to getting his paycheck cut until he showed that his system works?
