Great to see a Gainesville kid do so well.

 

Apparently mom and brother strongly encouraging.
LSU and Texas and Etienne just started following an FSU staffed. Kids like to win. Kids like to play in offenses that are productive. Kids like emotion.
Even if he stays Billy has to change things offensively and win. Last year several of us gave specific examples of current coaches winning in year 1. Some did not like that. But kids know the truth. We will win in year 3 doesn’t work. No excuse not to win immediately.

 

Colorado and Coach Prime also me ruined for Etienne. Funny thing is WINNING cures everything.
11 points is boring, disappointing, just plain bad. We score 25 and no matter how many yards Etienne has and he’d be happy.

He averaged the same exact amount of points per game last year as Mullen did in 3 of his 4 years (2020 w/ Trask being the one exception)

Are we talking about the guy who allowed Mertz to get easily sacked by using horrible technique to block at a crucial juncture? If it is that same guy, that's not acceptable at LSU or Texas. Maybe he should contribute to winning. The way Utah loaded up the box Mertz could have had a 500 yard day with better protection and better recognition by receivers of blitzes.

Love how you show up during these moments Shane …but never around otherwise. You seem to have 20+ favorite teams that don’t reside in Gainesville and have an obsession with rival coaches. It’s a cute schtick but we’ve been onto you for awhile. You’re just not subtle about anymore

 

I just scream and cuss and throw shit for half a day and then try to regain my senses and pretend to have some dignity. You know if you’re a decent actor, no one will notice.

I think we need an oc and a special teams coach also. I think Napier can probably do any of the three jobs but he needs to apply himself and have less hats to wear. He may be a fine oc but it seems to me he may be spreading himself too thin some people can multitask and do an incredible amount of things all at once effortlessly. I know better than that for myself as I’m way better with a one task, one track mind. Maybe he picks it all up and gets use to juggling all this crap at once or maybe he needs to concentrate on being a head coach and delegate some responsibility so he can do a better job as the head honcho. To be attention to detail on an entire organization, he may need to more focus on other things like making sure his coaches are doing their jobs.

Haha-the challenging thing is “these moments” are very common as we’ve lost 4 in row, were swept by our rivals, and are 6-8 in our last 14. Scored 11 points in our last two games.
I call it like I see it. I’m a Gator through and through. You must not read my posts defending AR when others go at him. I attend games every year in 3 different sports. Being a Gator doesn’t mean you sugarcoat things. I’m absolutely complimentary of other programs. My concern is it should not take 3-4 years to win at a place like Florida.

Several first year coaches did it last year and several of us pointed that out. I’ll compliment Norvell for what he’s done in the portal as now they are big time again and acknowledge it took him 3 years BUT he went out snd got the best in the portal. He truly had a plan. That being said I hope LSU beats them tonight.

What Prime has done in such a short time is amazing. I am in no way a fan of his but he has emotion and has obviously articulated his vision very well. He’s playing “us against the world” and his kids are “All In”.

My concern is we are not seeing progress. In this portal age it’s much easier to win immediately. I just can’t believe I’m watching:

BTW, I’m around all the time daily reading Gator stuff all the time.
I expect a regular season of 8-4. Pains me to say it but that’s it for now. Our expectations have to be higher. Billy has to win 10 next year. Mentioned before I’ve met Billy and been around him 2 times before and think he’s a great guy. I just have very high expectations and think we need to win now. High, but realistic as 8 wins are reachable.
