Some of us are here to watch and enjoy college football. Some of us have an agenda. I hope whatever connection you have to Napier or the program justifies your willful ignorance.
“Coach Deion Sanders at the University of Florida”. Talk about willful ignorance. Actually, it’s just dumb. Like I said. Sober up and read your post.
Dumbest shit ever. Maybe we should’ve hired Bowden because he beat Spurrier too many times. What gives .
...... I don't want to agree with this, but I would be lying if I didn't say that class is what I have been looking forward to this season. I REALLY hope everyone signs in December no matter the record and we can start thinking 2024.
Deion doesn’t even claim FSU anymore. Even if he did, it’s well known he wanted to be a Gator back in the day and he is light years ahead of Napier already. They were 20.5 dogs on the road today bruh. Accept that Deion is going to urinate all over anything Billy Napier will accomplish here. Lots of regular, educated people intermingle between UF and FSU. But for some, I get it. Laundry is more important than wins and losses.
If we were talking Warrick Dunn, I may could get behind a guy like that but no, no, never, ever he’ll no.
Rebuilding an entire program and culture from the bottom up is a HUGE task. His on the field performance, is a symptom of what is happening around him. I'm waiting for him to show up on game day, but he will be with the team to 2025. He is not getting canned, so I think its best to radically accept the outcomes we are presented knowing that improvement is part of the process.
Warrick is a great man, but what's so bad about Deion? He is a strong advocate for black youth. Perhaps that makes you uncomfortable.
I think I t depends on the situation. If it’s fixing a staff at McDonald’s, it’s different from changing a football team. It also depends on what resources you are going to give them and how much power you are going to give them. If I could go in with a huge budget and full control to fix an organization it’s going to go a lot faster. A lot of times, my progress has taken longer because of red tape or lack of resources. But I just expect that and work around it. I’ve turned things around quickly, and others were long term projects… it really just depends. When I hire leaders, I’m also looking to make sure they understand the situation and have a vision. I think Deion shook things up yesterday. We know Billy saw that. Maybe this lights a fire under him and he says to himself the lack of precision on Thursday was unacceptable… because it was.
Way back when, you know, spring practice There was a big discussion of the portal and NIL completely blowing up the clock, and I agree. The elite guys want playing time, exciting and cash and they jump in the portal without those things. A couple exceptions out there for potential championship teams. The national perception and talking points matter even more these days, sad to say.
I don’t like him either but better than a nole. Are we having a contest at picking the least favorite people to be our coach? Winning isn’t everything it’s the only thing, yes I agree but how we do it matters just a little.
I was one that thought maybe had we landed Kelly or Freeze.....seems both are turning around those programs instantly. Kelly actually had LSU in the SEC championship in Year 1 and Auburn looks like the old Auburn after years of meh. Yes, Kelly inherited a loaded roster but he's only added to it. Freeze also crushed recruiting and will only build on it. I haven't seen Auburn fans get so excited since they won the natty.
Game 1 into season 2 probably isn’t the ideal time to talk about replacements. I’ve got my concerns, but let the man do his job and reevaluate at end of this season.
