Woah, woah, woah. Notre Dame is in it's own singular universe, nay, dimension when it comes to being overrated. Put some respect on their name when it comes to undue respect on their name.
Yeah, I'm sure they are already getting the benefit of the doubt on thoughts that have not yet happened in this timeline.
I am not sure of Napier’s destiny in college football coaching lore, but I’m not seeing any markers of greatness yet. One would hope to see something resembling a marker at this stage, considering he’s told us we don’t need an offensive coordinator.
Well an 8 win season would go a long way... Talk to me after the Tennessee game. We'll both have a better idea of how long this rebuild will take. But just so you know, Napier is NOT going anywhere after this year is done and in the books.
Double jersey penalty, 8 men on the FG, 4-5 men in the backfield when using 5WR sets. That's all laaaaazy coaching. Once the money slows, the donors/alum complain enough then Stricklin will act. If he doesn't, fire him too.
When the big money talks, moves will be made. The big money isn’t as kneejerk as the average fan though. And nevermind what they tell you, the little guy who runs around telling everyone he’s a bullgator is not the big money.
What is the actual line that can't be crossed? Im not predicting a meltdown. The program is in a total rebuild mode. CBN has chosen a path to rebuild the program. Im fine I hear you. But what is wanted? Our views, clicks, subscriptions but not our opinions? I have no say in how the program is run, other than the attention I give it. Watching and commenting in real time is a crazy roller coaster of emotions. Im hoping it all improves.
A really lame take. Nape took over a losing program and beat a top 10 & 2 time PAC12 champion in his first game. Talk about no perspective. You gotta do better than that, Meat. That was pretty weak.
This is ridiculous argument. Deon is a HOFer, the best CB in History, these kids grew up watching him on NFL Network, and he has charisma. Players bought in to what he was selling because of all these things. There are literally 4-5 people who have the clout to ovehall a team with 75 new players and do this. Also, can we not judge CU off 1 game. Billy literally did the exact same thing in his first game last year vs Utah. We do not have the guy that can come in and do what those top 4 or 5 can do, so yes all we can do is to give it 3-5 years and be patient.
What part of that path includes discipline and preparation that's arguably worse than the last coach? What part of that path includes showing no on-field improvement through 14 games?
Even then, I think they buyout is too much to fire him. We are stuck with him for the next few years.
I am starting to think that is like the Holy Grail of every Coach now. Get yourself hired to a high-profile job with a nice buyout, and flameout then cash in, and emulate Jimmy Buffett (RIP)
What did I justify? I just said it can’t be ignored that Colorado just beat a ranked team at home. TCU however got beat 65-7 in their last outing and geor is good but that’s the biggest blowout in the history of bowls.
I hope you are just drunk typing this …because that is the dumbest thought I’ve read (among many dumb things, mind you), on here in the last 48 hours.
