Serious note: Complete loss of credibility for the program with coaches going forward. Jokingly: The health and well being of many a gator fan that would commit Seppuku if we had Coach Prime.
If he continues the momentum their are going to have to be some serious conversations about possibly antiquated notions that you can't just throw a team together. Can't be successful just using the portal and mercenaries. Need continuity of staff over many years, etc, etc, etc. I said it back in May, if he wins and wins big, it may be the nail in the CFB coffin as we knew it, and the rise of the NFL minors.
I’m not saying that CU or Sanders are new kings of college football, but in terms of recruiting and excitement surrounding a program, CU has taken a major step forward.
Whelp, we're one game in. In our first outing, we looked poorly-coached and displayed a lack of discipline. One game in. Colorado looked up-tempo and exciting. What a refreshing shift in their program. I looked at two schools when I was deciding on college. Colorado and Florida. I'm glad I picked Florida, but I've always had a soft spot in my heart for the Buffs. I'm glad to see them start off with a bang. The Gators, on the other hand, will need to regroup. These players know how they showed up. They'll rise to the occasion, perhaps not to the level we'd like to see. Some schools can flip a switch and get it done. We'll have to wait to see if there is a paradigm shift in the teams discipline and execution moving forward. Utah tried to give us that game. We couldn't take it. 30 yards rushing? Come on. We weren't ready for prime time. Here's to the Gator making the changes needed. Tenn in the Swamp. They got two weeks to snap out of it... Go Gators.
So far he has not stolen on of the Gator recruits that I know of, by my statement was more tongue-in-cheek. Everyone gets raided for talent. But it was funny when he was stealing FSU's players the most. I think he's mad at FSU... I wonder why? Lol.
It's almost weird how people just can't give him credit for his success. Like he just gets out of a limo and makes a program exciting.
Boulder is an awesome college town with a beautiful backdrop. They historically have been terrible but Sanders can make them a power within their conference pretty quickly of they continue to play this way.
Yeah, I would like up-tempo, and I have been posting about wanting that since the end of last year's season. And a 2 minute offense would be nice, one which we're probably saving for another game... Lol. We have speedy receivers... lets use them all at once, and overwhelm opposing teams with a 00 and/or a 10 personnel set schemes. But one thing is for sure... the 12 personnel schemes seem to work better when we have two NFL Tight ends. Give me MORE the 10 and 00 personnel ( 4 and 5 receiver sets, respectively) and less of the 12 personnel...
That is so 10 years ago Bama stuff... And UGA with 2 NFL tight ends last few years. Don't get me wrong about the 12 personnel, I like the 12 personnel set schemes IF we have the talent to make it work, but we don't have 2 NFL tight ends like UGA had the last few years. 12 personnel is great if we have the players... it's real smash mouth football.
