Both sides are wrong in my opinion
One side acts like most teachers are indoctrinating kids to the teacher ideology. The other side acts like it never happens and shouldn’t be stopped if it is..
and both are wrong. There are more than enough teachers posting on social media about how they “teach” or “indoctrinate” their students to make it something that should be talked about. At the same time I fully believe most teachers are doing a great job and are severely underpaid.

I didn’t say it was everyone on the right because it’s certainly not. But I don’t know how anyone can claim there’s been no movement that way from the right. Just like no one can claim there hasn’t been a defund the police move on the left. It was stupid and it certainly wasn’t everyone either. But it happened.

 

There are those on the right who do call out some outliers in teaching just like the left calls out outliers in the police. I'm glad there are body cams for officers now to get rid of any shady crap going on. I'm not in favor of having video cameras in classrooms at this time. I am on camera all day every day so it's not a big deal to me but I would want some serious safeguards if they did this in classrooms so we can't have people hacking in or accessing the video without permission.

Absolutely untrue. At the school where I most recently taught (I just retired) the two “indoctrinators” were conservative Trumpers. One even had/has a life size cardboard cutout of Trump in her classroom.

When my nephew was at Fleming Island HS his government teacher was super conservative and spouted it every day, to the point that my brother asked me my opinion on what to do. I told him to let it go. I think most moderate/left parents just don’t make a stink like MAGA Karens do.

Just a point, at NO TIME was I ever accused of inserting my own political opinions in the classroom. Not in 41 years. It can be done.

 

Sixth amendment guarantees a speedy and PUBLIC trial.

 

And that has zero to do with placing a camera on people's children.

 

Part of the reason people make such stupid claims about education and educators

 

At my previous school it was def conservative faculty. At my current one it is also, although I don’t know many outside my department yet. And it’s science, and Fairfax.
