CNN — A leader of the Proud Boys who led the far-right organization’s infamous march to the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, was sentenced Wednesday to 17 years in prison – among the longest sentence handed down yet for a convicted rioter.
One of the charges Biggs was convicted on was seditious conspiracy. Which is the charge given to someone attempting an insurrection trying to overthrow the government. He was more than just a rioter. He was a central figure in planning the operation.
Supposedly cried at his sentencing, saying that "I was seduced by the crowd and I just moved forward. I was curious. I wanted to see what would happen." Insurrection curious?

But I do find 17 years in jail becasue the capital police let you into the Capital Building a bit harsh. And a weaponless entrance into the Capital Building is NOT an Insurrection... pure hyperbole... fiction.
Trump publicly and expressly told them to "stand back and stand by." Obviously just some confusion on their part about whether that standing order had been amended.
Nice rant. Unfortunately you have your facts wrong. There have been at least 3 people charged with carrying guns on Jan 6, and many more who were carrying less lethal weapons such as clubs, stun guns, and others. And the Capital Police "let" people in the building as part of a fall back operation to re-establish lines inside, because they police were getting pummeled outside. Oh and Trump? Not only did he tell these people to stand by during the last debate, during his Jan 6 speech, he pointed directly at the Capital and told the people to march over there. These are facts. Your rant?
