You gave credit to Trump for unemployment rates hitting lows despite his having inherited a trend that was heading there already, so why can't Joe get credit for turning around a trend that was sinking again in late 2020? I'm being a little bit facetious, but yet not because I don't think Trump deserves any special credit for UE hitting some historic lows. Indeed, 1.5m fewer jobs were created in Trumps first three years than Obama's last three years. Trump is a uniquely terrible human being and threat to democracy even conceding that all presidents might all have some amount of narcissism. FWIW, I don't blame him for the job losses from covid or even the sinking trends in late 2020.
I am talking about Trump EMPLOYMENT numbers which is far different than the skewed UN-employment numbers. I understand Biden is your guy, but he is not doing much if anything that I would ever vote for. And his use of his DOJ is something we might need to put a magnifying glass on. Did they interfere with the Georgia versus Trump trial? Did the DOJ talk to the Fulton county officials before the Trump indictment? Obama? C'mon man... That stagnant economy was nothing until Trump took over. And his bounce in 2009, after GWB came about becasue of the housing meltdown that the Dems caused with the subprime BS... I know first hand about that whole deal. I think Biden is dirty, no good, politician... I find it interesting that you can't name one positive thing that Biden has done as POTUS.
Well, that isn't true. More people are employed than were employed at any point under Trump. The U3 is currently equal to the lowest value under Trump. The U6 is currently lower than at any point under Trump.
Biden shut the country down in 2020 and we still have not recovered from that BS vaccine mandate. That was 2021... Anyone that thinks we have more people working now than before Civid-19, during 2018, is fooling themselves. Many millions of Americans lost their jobs becasue of the covid mandates and Joe Biden is directly responsible for those shut downs that caused it.
How did he do that? Considering he didn't become President until 2021, how did he shut the country down in 2019? It is a factual statement. 156,342,000 now compared to 152,371,000 in February 2020, which was the Pre-Biden record. From 2 years before he was President?
I just wrote that he wasn't "my guy." I don't have "a guy" when it comes to politicians. Honestly don't understand how you can think the UE numbers are skewed but the employment numbers are not? Guess I should also ask, how are they skewed? Anyway, the EMPLOYMENT numbers do not work in Trump's favor. The economy wasn't stagnant under Obama and it did not "vastly" improve under Trump. Leaving out 2020, Trump's economy produced 1.5 mil fewer jobs in his first three years than Obama's supposedly "stagnant" last three years (BO=8m/DT=6.5m) with Trump's best of the three years (2018) being nearly identical to Obama's worst of his last three years. (2016) But I'll give you this, Trump's economy increased yearly GDP growth in his first three years over Obama's last three years...by .27%. En fuego!? Other hand, unfortunately for Trump, he boasted about how GDP would hit 5% or even 6% while he was president. GDP didn't even hit 3%...unless you count 2020 and put a neg sign in front.
Utterly untrue as pointed out. It’s not even close. We have the best employment situation in history. Thanks Biden!
yes, that was 2020/2021 matters not in this discussion... when Biden and his administration shut the entire country down. So, you can quibble about the date, but the date changes NOTHING about what Biden and his administration did to working class people. Biden decimated small businesses and restaurants, and he is DIRECTLY responsible for losing millions of jobs.
Biden killed millions of jobs... You know he did. Many young people are still dying today from those forced experimental jabs they were forced to take, becasue our government funded this plandemic that "somehow" released into the world populations centers. He's DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE for all the forced jabs, that killed untold innocent people, and he is DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE for the loss of millions of jobs becasue of his forced shutdowns.
I didn't provide a date. You did. I'm interested in having you explain how the Biden administration shut down the economy in 2019 or 2020. You really can't handle that the economy shut down under Trump, can you? Cognitive dissonance is powerful.
He's not "my guy" he's just not the freak-up that Biden is. Biden is an imbecile, and he dangerous to freedom and to our Constitutional Republic.
Didn't say he was your guy, I wrote that he wasn't "my guy" even though I voted for him and will again. Hell, I really liked Obama and I wouldn't call him "my guy" either. But that's me not being infatuated with political leaders. FWIW, the cause cannot come after the effect. Biden could not have killed jobs when we lost 20m jobs due to covid--that happened before he was president. Other hand, job creation under Biden has been consistently positive. This isn't to credit him, it's simply indisputable fact.
Alternet, so take it for what it's worth, but it does contain quotes from a letter the chief justice sent. Apparently, the right wing chief justice still left on the court is not happy about majority rule on "her" court. The liberal majority replaced a commissioner that selects the state level "fill-in" judges when a judge is sick or can't work. Right-wing Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice accused of 'meltdown' after liberal takeover (msn.com)
LOL ... Trump was president during most of the forced shutdown ... and state Government, not Biden, decided on that anyway. That guy is clueless.
Reality is irrelevant to MAGAs. Anything is possible in their world, like Biden shutting down the economy 2 years before he became president.
FWIW I wanted to say a bit more about your reasons for liking Trump. Not that I agree with them l though it doesn’t matter if I do or not but I do appreciate your laying out your reasons.
