Idalia's maximum sustained winds are now estimated near 125 mph (205 km/h) with higher gusts. This change in wind speed does not diminish the threat of catastrophic storm surge and damaging winds. Yikes. Seems like we are getting a smaller version of that at my house. Neighbor says we have about 1.5 f before it comes into the house, and it’s low tide right now.
