IMO he had no right being in the documentary. His head is so far up Saban’s ass, if he had hair it would tickle Saban’s throat. I wish Pat had more air time

I largely agree. There are some pretty crappy critics out there, but there are also great ones who understand the history of the topic and can contextualize a certain work within that greater history. However, I think there is a difference between someone who has dedicated their professional lives to studying a field in depth and some a-hole on the internet who got popular just for a willingness to drop hot takes with a little charisma.
Then they are wrong. The old adage about Florida, "The further north you go, the farther South you get."
They show their ignorance. I’m a born & raised Floridian and lived all over the state. Fished the panhandle, Suwannee River, the Gulfstream, the Gulf, the Keys, and Okeechobee. This state changes significantly as you move from one region to the next. The Yankees got no clue what they’re talking about when it comes to Florida
True on the coasts, but ever been to Pahokee? Clewiston? LaBelle, Arcadia, Plant City. From my experience, those towns are legit "southern."
Not sure what an original Floridian is, but I have a thought about it. Am not going to push that issue.
I wax born here but my parents weren’t. I’d say the ones that have been here for generations. Florida before tge influx of transplants. They are getting rare.
Other than him having an inordinate amount of disdain for Meyer, my main issue with him on the doc was that he was in ultimate cliche mode and had nary an interesting thing to say
