Thanks for this, Monk......nice to see what's in store for the entire season! Here's the tweet from your linked article:
Not crazy about this, the classic traditional uniform for only all the crappy home games, and the mutts in Jax. “Finally, the last combo that will be seen is the orange helmet, blue jersey, and white pants combo which will be worn against McNeese St., Vanderbilt, Charlotte, and Georgia.”
So this will be two straight years of only the orange helmets, right? (Except all black for Arkansas)
Eh. We usually do blue on blue for the Vols, which means it's really only the Arkansas game where we gave up an opportunity to wear the traditionals. Not that big a deal.
Yeah, didn't Urbs have a superstition about the orange pants? I think we lost a game in them under his watch that we shouldn't have and he banned them after that. Could be remembering that wrong.
i only remember us getting railroaded by Bama in the white+orange combo un 05 and never saw em again lol
Spurrier banned the Blue pants for similar reasons after the Thursday night debacle in Starkville, didn't get worn as a road uniform for 4 years, in 2001 after the Auburn loss he banned them again, the mega successful 90-96 seasons..Orange Pants were the dominate road uniform.
