The X Files Week 1 ( fomerly known as Twitter)

Two nights in a hotel, Spurriiers, and two tanks of gas in my truck. Easy $1000 and I can’t afford it. 2-3 times a season hurts but I see the good games if I’m coming.

 

Damn, why so much. You can get a hotel or Airbnb outside of Gainesville if that’s the issue.

 

Two night minimum. Even in Ocala it’s $200 a night. When kids come, I get an Airbnb but that’s even more. Big games seem to book quick and double their prices. I always stay two nights anyway. Driving two days in a row isn’t for me. Spurrier s before the Tennessee game and a few more restaurants.

 

Check out the play and stay homes at Juliette Falls in Dunnellon 40 min from the williston rd/I-75 exit, 2 night min prices from 220 night. On site bar, restaurant and golf.

 

I’ve stayed out in Williston at a house when I had my kids but are opting this time to be close. I think it was $550 total for two nights. Not the nicest place but it’ll work. Stayable Suites I think, never stayed there.. I don’t wanna drive and without kids I’ll be in Gainesville from Friday afternoon . I usually do Gator Inn for a cheap room but my oldest is coming with his wife and they only had one room.

 

Yeah we’re aligned. Only difference between you and me is the gas — I can go over and back from Daytona on half a tank in the F-150. But the rest is real.

Harry’s, Lillian’s, and bars downtown Friday night, Spurrier’s on Saturday night (if the game doesn’t run too late), 2 nites in a $250/night hotel….. it adds up fast if you do it right. But I won’t do it any other way.

Here’s my logic: I can cheap it and get out of there for $600, or do it right and spend $900. In the grand scheme of things it’s a no brainer

Yes. And even though I’m less than 2 hours away, I’m not driving over & back down country 2-lanes in the same day/night. 2 night hotel minimum and there you are
