A thread about disparate treatment based on race in the criminal legal system? Oh yes. I am here for this.

Oh so now your side believes that there is systemic racism? Is it Oochie Wally Wally or is it One Mic?

99.99% of this forum won’t get the reference without Googling it

This thread reminds of the guy who tried to compare the treatment of the rapper Kodak Black with Hunter Biden on the charge of lying on the Federal firearms application. Although they were treated differently he conveniently forgot to mention that unlike Hunter Kodak Black has a long rap sheet for violent felonies incluing the possession of firearm by a convicted felon. One example:
Waiting for an "Off-topic" rating although this is a valid analogy the point being that the situation of Harrison Floyd is unlike that of any of the other persons charged in the Georgia indictment regardless of race.

So, basically, the optics of this look bad if you go by the limited info from Fox, which limited the info in order to make it look bad.

Not officially picking a side, but whatever political side you’re on, I’m on the opposite. Not surprised you are trying to impose a team name on me without due process.

And what kind of systemic racism is this. You know black people don’t play pickle ball. Smh

Isn't everyone charged with a crime innocent until proven guilty? Or is this judge prejudging that man... denying him bail?

    The Democratic Playbook is obvious.

When an obstacle to the agenda creates different outcomes for people when isolating race as a factor, that's a sign of systemic racism.

The fact that there are broadly different outcomes for people on average based on race is a sign of systemic racism.

But when an ally to the agenda creates different outcomes for people when isolating race as a factor, there's either a good reason for it, or it's simply a product of the system itself rather than the responsibility of the ally to the agenda.

    In essence:
    1. Whine about an unsolvable problem.
    2. Blame their opponents for the entirety of the problem.
    3. Absolve their own side from any responsibility relating to the problem, even if they're guilty of the same exact thing as their opponents, sometimes even to worse degrees.

A lot of this stuff is like religious zealotry, your actions don't matter, only the rituals you perform (putting a Black square on your social media, wearing a Black Lives Matter t-shirt), the words you say, and the political side you take.

I don't know the legal ins and outs of it, but if he truly did "body slam" an FBI agent, while innocent until proven guilty, there is no law that says the judge has to give him the option of bail, if she can cite a flight risk. For example, if he had a villa in Qatar that he enjoys traveling to semi-often, the judge could deny his bail based on the fact Qatar doesn't have an extradition treaty with the U.S. In this case, if he truly did "body slam" an agent when they were serving him papers, that's enough that most courts I believe would uphold his denial of bail. I'm not a legal expert and could be wrong. Even though he's innocent until proven guilty on the body slam charges, he doesn't have to be convicted of a crime to have bail denied.

The judge cited the reason that provided the "difference." OP ignored it or Fox apparently didn't report it, whatever the case, his intent was to troll...with bogus racism.

Fox like CNN and MSNBC commits dishonesty by omission. They all know their audience and they all cater to you i mean them.

you (I mean them) continue to exemplify why it is important to obtain reading comprehension. I’m not sure how it could be any clearer to anyone with a third grade reading ability to understand what it means when I said “I don’t follow the circus in Georgia.” Let me break that down for you ( I mean them) since you (I mean them) seem to be below the third grade reading level. This means that I have not watched any news or read anything about the clown show in Georgia. The article that I posted clearly made no mention of any physical contact.

Tell them to try harder. #hugs

No, not really. Just saying if he truly body slammed the agent, he doesn't have much of a leg to stand on in terms of fighting his bail denial in the RICO case. Don't get me wrong, I think the whole RICO case is a farce, but even so, you can't attack the officers who are simply delivering the notice of indictment. You gotta do your fighting legally, in the court room.

You started a post about "the circus in the Georgia" ... spouted some wrong information ... spouted some incomplete information ... got called out for it ... now you're like "I don't follow the circus in Georgia" ... seems like you shouldn't start a thread about it if you are this ignorant about the topic, huh?

That's just it... innocent until proven guilty is NOT just a phrase or talking points. He must be released on bail.
