In reaction to Trump’s mugshot published in the media President Joseph Biden showered him with compliments saying the former president was “wonderful” and “a handsome guy”. Looks like that Trump charm that works so well on the MAGA nation has Joe swooning. No way he was dead pan joking to make fun of Trump. Nope. Sincerity.
I’m hopeful if our country can get thru one more election cycle by keeping the irrational maga conspiracy types out of office (e.g. Herschel Walker) we can make it. but, if they are successful in breaking democracy, it’s gone for generations.

Complete BS. Trump wasn't man enough to accept losing. So, he made up BS about election fraud, just like he did after losing Republican primaries in 2016 and after winning the 2016 general election. He then proceeded to break several laws trying to overturn the election he lost fair and square. He committed the crimes himself. No one else is to blame. Almost all of the witnesses against him are REPUBLICANS. So much for your BS.

so let me see if I get what you’re saying… 1 There was election fraud as there has been in every single national election since the beginning of the Republic. 2. Trump used his 1st amendment right to express his thoughts on the election, as has been the case for Americans in every single election since the beginning of the Republic. 3. Trump challenged the validity of the election as politicians have been doing in every single election since the beginning of the Republic. Therefore Trump committed fraud, according to the political party in charge of the “state” prosecutors. I'm sure I left out some yada yada yada, but did I get the gist of this horror?
Adding the obvious, to the overwhelming majority of Republicans and the right-wing media the term weaponization means treating Trump like any other person who may have violated multiple statutes rather than placing him above the law because he is running for the presidency.
Can you give an example of one of these many, many losing politicians in American history who organized a conspiracy that included fake electors in mulitple states, threatening poll workers attempting to get false confessions, demanding SoS "find" him enough votes so he can be declared the winner in that state, breaching voting machines and vote data, and culminating with a riot that took over the Capital Building, halting the proceeding where his opponent was about be declared the winner? .... then got away Scot-free with the whole thing? Go ahead, give me a name.... It's comical how, in your world, Trump just used his first amendment rights to say stuff .... it's a laughably incompetent legal defense.
