Last night’s debate: one man’s opinion

How about Chris Christie’s overtly racist comments about Obama and Ramaswamy?

 

Trump won't beat Biden. His base hasn't expanded, but is likely way more worked up. His support among independents has shrunk will shrink even more as he starts getting convicted. Dial in some pro-choice abortion ballot initiatives to drive democrat and independent turnout and Biden wins by more than 2020.

 

People don't vote for a president because of the VP choice. Never have.

 

What were they?

 

Here’s the video clip. The racist comment regarding Obama and Ramaswamy starts at :12 in the video. “Skinny guy with an odd last name.” The “a guy who sounds like ChatGPT” comment before that could also be seen as a racist dog whistle type comment and it probably was given the context of Christie’s entire diatribe there.

 

I disagree that there are enough illiterate, stupid, or morally corrupt citizens in this country to allow that to happen again. I realize I’m definitely being optimistic here.
But, if there are enough of those types, mixed in with the intellectually dishonest opportunists, to re-elect trump (or elect desantis, ramaswamy)……then this country deserves the shit-show.
I’m still proud to call myself an American. I hope to die with that same sentiment.
