I disagree. If it can be proven beyond a shadow of the doubt and Trump is found guilty by a jury, why should he not be punished in accordance of the law? Because it might spark some idiots to react violently?

That's an awful precedent to set. Frontier "justice" where whoever has the most guns makes the rules is no way for a Constitutional democratic county to run. Nobody should be above the law, including former Presidents. And nobody should be able to usurp the power of the people by illegally overturning a fair and free election, which is what Trump is being charged with in Georgia, and the most recent indictment by Smith.

And Trump is not being assassinated. If he ends up in prison, it's because he broke our laws and our justice system saw fit to punish him for his guilty actions. Why shouldn't our country run this way?

Political speech should not be criminalized on both sides. This is politically motivated and there really isn't two ways about it. This is absolutely unprecedented and if you think no other politician has ever done any of this then you are either being dishonest or incredibly naive and probably biased as well because I guarantee you don't hold them all to the same standards simply due to your current stance on the matter.

All that needs to be done is to bar him from being president but if nobody else before him has gone to jail, neither should he. I guarantee you don't want this... you won't like when the republicans are in full power (it will happen again at some point) and they will be able to do and say anything in this day and age of AI and deep fakes.

You're right that it is unprecedented because no President has ever gone to these lengths to change the outcome of an election. Not dishonesty or naivety - reality.

If there was an attempt to simply bar him from being President, without indicting him for his crimes, then there would be outrage that Trump is being politically persecuted because he "didn't even do anything illegal" or "hasn't even been arrested."

You're right about one thing though - we'll see Republicans trying to utilize AI and deep fakes for retribution because that party has no bottom and they can't find any actual equivalent crimes by the left.

No prior President has done the bullshit Trump has done, ultimately resulting in 1/6. Come on now, that’s a lie to equate all that to political speech or call it “1st amendment”. The phone call was itself a pretty obvious crime. Anyone with half a brain should have understood that the moment they heard it. Maybe it gets swept under the rug or nothing happens in an alt universe where 1/6 never happened, but “the ask” was a crime just the same as a mob boss asking for someone to be wacked over the phone. As it turns out that call was just the tip of the iceberg. So much more was going on behind the scenes in just this Georgia incident, hence, it actually is a state of Georgia RICO case with 19 defendants.

Even after his arrest(a). Trump does shit no other defendents do. Even the worst psychopaths and mob bosses in history probably know enough not to publicly call out judges, prosecutors, etc.

How do you “bar him from being President”? What mechanism? You don’t think his cult of supporters would have a problem with that? They said they’d vote for him even if he’s in prison!

Coaching a witness to lie is unethical period. Also,
Even if a lawyers bills are paid by a third party, the lawyer has a duty to his or her client, not to the person who pays the bills. It should not matter who pays the bills. A witness should tell the truth. And if that truth implicates the third party paying the bills, then the attorney should consider not entering into a joint defense agreement with that party.

Orthodox girls have their bar mitzvah at 12 based on the Jewish calendar. Not the Gregorian calendar. She is being raised orthodox. Younger than boys because females are on an inherently higher spiritual level than men.

It’s too bad that half the country supports a man who takes nuclear secrets and war plans, willfully retains them, and when the government tries to get them back, has them moved around and causes people to lie about them to avoid returning them. Since you say both sides do that, please identify who. And, it is too bad that half the country supports a man who Runs a scheme to submit fake electors to Congress and tries to induce the Vice President to refuse ti accept the real electors and to return the election to the states, founded on the lie that the election was stolen. Since you say both sides do that, please identify who. Or who extorts the Georgia Secretary of address to “find” the votes necessary for him to win the state. Since you say both sides do that, please identify who. He deserves to be indicted and he is disqualified from being president. Under any level of proof that governs a person in his ordinary affairs, nobody with any sense wound get involved in dealings with Trump. Yet they would vote for him or president even if guilty. If he would waive around war planes for Iran because he is thin skinned, what would he do if he has something to gain or avoid losing by using those plans? If this is helping Trump, it just shows how far half the country has fallen.

That’s a presumption that applies in criminal trials. It concerns the burden of proof. An awfully high standard for a person in his or her ordinary affairs. Who on earth would trust that guy in their own affairs? Especially since his act is were so open and public. Especially since he lied so openly and publicly to further his crimes. And caused others to do so. Who are indicted too

Secretary Of states bar him from the ballot under the constitution and then it is litigated.

Without any prosecution or criminal charges, on what basis would a Secretary of State “bar” him? I’d think to withstand litigation, there would need to be something “on the record” for the Secretaries of State to point to? If we were a functional nation, they of course should be able to point to Trumps impeachment AND conviction. It should be easy, alas, one of our two political party has gone far off the rails in the past decade and become more cult-like - backing him in criminality.

At least with criminal charges, there is a legitimate basis to litigate. Although technically not charged with insurrection or treason, it is still charges related to the autogolpe.

Not a single charge against Trump is for his speech. Not one. It's for his actions. A president that can't be held accountable for his crimes is a dictator/king.

Talk about bad precedents, you want to create one where any rich criminal can run for president as a permanent get out of jail free card unless his own party has reasons to convict him. That is absolutely creating a 2-tier justice system literally vs. the figurative one we have now.

The Constitution Prohibits Trump From Ever Being President Again
Note that J. Micheal Luttig, a conservative former Circuit Court of Appeals judge who was considered for a SCOTUS nomination by President George W. Bush, was one of the co-authors of the article.

How about you open your eyes and see this dude is not getting prosecuted for doing the same thing everyone does.

He tried to steal the election, plain and simple, right in front of everyone's eyes. He is flat out busted, and you won't even get your head out of the sand long enough to recognize it.

He pressured Georgia to change their vote to him winning that state.

He and his crew tried to get Mike Pence to read off a list of fake electors that would have said he won.

That is what he is getting prosecuted for and NO one has every done that before, and if they did, they should have been prosecuted too.

You have personally seen all the evidence? For such a high position you probably shouldn't be talking about an open case if you are privvy to the details. Who's telling you that all of this exists and that they have never done it before.... them? This is the problem. People believe one side 100% and think the other side is 100% wrong. The truth is in the middle. Everyone knows politicians are corrupt until they are calling an outsider corrupt. Now all of a sudden all the politicians are f'n angels because you have an agenda.

Same thing with free speech and violence and advocating for rappers who murder and kill people (google King Von and listen to his self snitch songs) who also degrade women in 90% of the songs only to get all bent out of shape when someone says to grab her private parts. You lose all credibility when you do crap like that and I'm not really sure how you guys don't even see that you are doing it. Antifa and BLM riots versus conservative groups riots. The list goes on and on with the hypocricies.

Im not about to go on and on about this. I don't have time to waste talking about Trump especially today because Im flying back to Florida for a week vacation on the beach. Just know, the left is playing with fire and we all heard the BS they spewed before he was elected for the first time. You guys aren't entitled to facts or predicting the future. You're all human and whether you believe it or not your mind cant magically put your pants on without putting one leg at a time just like the rest of us.

Last thing Im saying on this thread, the truth is in the middle. At least half of America doesn't agree with you and the fact that this doesn't bring pause to any of you and you guys continue to dance on the graves and degrade the other side until you guys get exactly what you don't want. The hip term these days is "F around and find out". Also, and once again, they went batshit crazy over losing an election... you really think putting him in jail... especially FOR LIFE - is going to go over well? Yeah, okie dokie. This is political BS, period.
