Another small victory for Ukraine on their way to a much greater victory. Ukraine lured an Mi-8 helicopter pilot and the crew of the helicopter to defect to Ukraine. They first arranged for their families to evacuate Russia and make their way to Ukraine. Then they defected with their helicopter and a full load of aircraft spare parts. Looking good, Putin!

F-16s finally going to Ukraine signal NATO will become directly involved in the months ahead. Sad, but true.

Russians have yet another S-400 SAM site destroyed on their way to defeat in Ukraine. This one in Crimea. The Russians heroically destroyed . . . a load of grain.

Russia and Ukraine trade drone attacks as Kyiv claims it took out a key S-400 missile defense system

And will fall flaming from the skies. Unless they’re relegated to safely patrolling back regions.

S400 system in Crimea taken out. It will be critical to eliminate these if the F-16's are to give Ukraine a boost in taking Crimea back

Ukraine's Defence Intelligence confirms explosions in Crimea and destruction of S-400 missile system along with crew (msn.com)

Explosions in occupied Crimea took place on the morning of 23 August near the village of Olenivka on Cape Tarkhankut, destroying a Russian long- and medium-range S-400 Triumf anti-aircraft missile system.

"The explosion completely destroyed the system (S-400 Triumf – ed.), the missiles loaded in it and the personnel."

Details: The Defence Intelligence explained that given the limited number of such systems in the Russians’ arsenal, this is a painful blow to the Russian air defence system, which will have a serious impact on further events on the peninsula.

Background: Earlier, Petro Andriushchenko, advisor to the Mayor of Mariupol, reported on Telegram that a Bastion anti-ship missile system was damaged in Crimea, and that its radar stations were damaged.

this is not good. What will NATO do if the plant melts down and throws off a radioactive cloud?

IAEA: Situation 'precarious' after multiple explosions near Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant (msn.com)

Military operations near the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, including multiple explosions in the past week, pose an ongoing nuclear security risk, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported on Aug. 22.

IAEA experts reported five detonations in the area on Aug. 20 and five more on Aug. 21.

"The overall nuclear safety and security situation remains precarious,” IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi said.

The agency's representatives also described an Aug. 14 explosion that was so strong it "shook their windows." This was followed by sounds of gunfire on Aug. 16. Another explosion occurred near the plant on Aug. 17.

Wagner Group leader Yevgeny Prigozhin was on the passenger list of a plane that crashed in Russia's Tver region on Wednesday, according to the press service of the Federal Air Transport Agency.
Ten people were killed in the crash, but it is not yet clear whether he was actually on board the plane.

Video of the aircraft going down does not look "accidental" it appears more sinister than that to me, although I am no expert.

Confirmed. Putin may not be able to run a war or a state, but never doubt his competency at assassinating rivals
