Being sarcastic could be bad for your HEART | Daily Mail Online

"A study of 2,300 heart attack survivors in the US found those who displayed hostile character traits - including sarcasm, cynicism, resentment, impatience or irritability - were at much greater risk of dying of a second attack within the next two years.'

    I'm only trying to help.

Good thing my Calcium Score came back good recently!

It was hard enough to change lifestyle (diet find something other than basketball). But no sarcasm?!?!?!? I would be a dead man walking after the first event…

'Hostile individuals have increased clotting times, higher adrenaline levels, above normal cholesterol and triglyceride levels, and increased cardiac reactivity,' they said.

Perhaps the above characteristics lead to more heart attacks, and not the sarcasm?

Damn, my FIL is even more super human than I realized.

He's basically comprised of red meat, blue cheese dressing, alcohol, anger & resentment. Actual sarcasm would be like eating a salad.

    edit. & Winston cigarettes.

Maybe is more like un-provable science... where the "answers" are never realized, but more than likely invented..

Is that correlation or causation? Maybe people who have health problems are more likely to have a negative attitude!?

In all seriousness, I'm sure it goes in both directions.

My sarcasm brings me great joy. Seems like a positive to me.

Ok, but seriously. Sarcasm has been shown to stimulate creativity and creativity is associated with longevity. So…
