Turns out the murderer of the 66 year old mother of 9, was a 27 year man with history posting hateful and violent anti LGBTQ rhetoric on Twitter and the extremist site Gab. I.e. a total stone cold loser.

Not surprising. Another disaffected male corrupted by social media radicalization. The odd thing I saw was that “his family” supposedly reported him missing the day before. But I’m guessing that wasn’t his wife or kids, it’s sounding a bit like the frustrated incel profile.

Too many unbalanced people in this country have access to guns. Then they shoot people for virtually no reason. The vitriol of the right and their vocabulary they use to communicate that they are "fighting for the soul of America" and stopping "liberals from trying to destroy it" just pushes these bozos over the edge.

 

I am thinking about policing and gun usage. Most cops are good there are just a few bad apples. Most gun owners are good there are just a few bad apples.

While I agree with your sentiments, I don't think its accurate to say the "right". I personally have no problem with principled conservatives, though they seem to be a dying breed. The problem in my mind is the " far right ", the MAGA crowd which is perpetually aggrieved and angry, and who see a conspiracy at every turn.
