Yep, sitting back and playing passive 3 man front will never get pressure on any QB let alone one with game experience like Barns has.

Barns beat Washington state, and he moved the ball down the field and got a TD against USC in the Rose Bowl.

Rising is practicing. There is video of him throwing to the former fsu WR.

    He's just not full go.

We know that. He has been at practice most days, missing some for rehab. He has been throwing. He has yet to participate in a full scrimmage where his has to drop back and scramble or throw on the run. He has not been cleared for that.

Supposedly today is the day that Rising visits his Dr to either be cleared for the game or not. Heard the team will know for sure by Monday who will be starting on the 31st. Of course we will never know until the game starts but this weekend is an important one.

I suppose coaches need to know who to start game prep with. No doubt the team will step it up for Cam's return OR rally around the new guy.

Seems awfully early to make that call. Still almost two weeks til the game. I would have believed this if it was a few days later.

Classes start on the 21st. The 20 hr rule kicks in. So they need to know so not to waste valuable hours.

Doubtful. Throwing a kid into a game who hasn't touched a football field in 8 months is not exactly a chess move. If he doesn't practice, he is not starting that game.

He doesn’t have an arm injury. Let’s see him run and get sacked a few times.

I always assume that the other teams best players will play, even after the game starts.

Fall camp is over and neither Rising or Kuthie scrimmaged.

Let them play, they will be slow and not ready for full contact. Advantage Gators!

To much emphasis on this. Up to 25 positions on a team, everyone has to contribute, not just a QB or a TE.

Uf should come in pissed and ready to eat everyone on the other side of the ball.

I disagree, it's the correct amount of emphasis. We are 7 point underdogs. Losing the QB for the Pac-12 winning team, and the backup, is at least a touchdown difference. Are you saying us playing Max Brown would be no difference in outcome? Jack Miller in the bowl game vs. AR?

Imagine FSU played their #3 QB last year. We'd have won that game. Travis was a huge advantage.

An inexperienced QB has the potential to negate a lot of the returning-veteran advantage the Utah offense has. IMO of course.
