Expectations for the 2023 Florida Gators are the lowest they’ve been in recent history. Florida’s projected over/under win total of 5.5 games is the program’s lowest preseason figure in over a decade, and likely the lowest or the 21st century. The only SEC team with a lower betting line in 2023 is Vanderbilt at 3.5 wins, according to Draft Kings Sportsbook.

I like the players attitudes! They're not accepting the notion of being SEC bottom-feeders. There are plenty of stud athletes in that locker room and they've been coming together as a team now under Napier's direction! The defense is gonna stop spotting the other team touchdowns every game! I think this is gonna be a fun season.

The only expectations that they have to satisfy to me are mine. I see a National Championship:p. In reality, I can see 8 wins, but mostly I hope to see improvement as the season progresses as next season is the one that I have expectations of really challenging for titles. Eight wins against the schedule we play would be outstanding. I'll be surprised and extremely disappointed if we don't have a winning season.

Dang it... RJ Moten and Caleb Banks are getting me excited to see what they can do... I can't wait to see them explode on Utah.

Deep rebuilds are full of ups and downs. When we get back to players getting extremely embarrassed and angry about losing to Vanderbilt or Kentucky we will have turned the corner.

A good team might start flat and fall behind but they find a way to come back and get the win.

I expect a lot of joy and a lot of heartbreak this year.

Inconsistency, a lack of team unity. Maybe some dissention in the troops; who knows? Last year was tough. There was some good, but not Gator-level good. Close games against LSU, Tenn and Fl State gives us hope for this year. The team was often overmatched and were unable to finish games off. I'm not trying to be mean here. I would assume, as a matter of fact, I'd bet these kids know very well how they showed up, and to that point, they've learned some humility.

The team unity alone this year, the comradery, it being the second year in a system. Playmakers are emerging. Great game-ready recruits. The space they train and exist in is positive. I see confidence and good habits forming through repetition and expert leadership. Accountability! They are a band of brothers. These kids are growing up.

I'm positive for the season. I'm hoping it will be better than the prognosticators think it will be. After more than a decade of less than stellar results, I'm cautiously optimistic. But we have a tough-ass schedule.

I'll be accepting of the results and won't sell out on the team. I expect 2025 to be 'the year', but heck, they can surprise me this year and next and it'll just be more Gator glory to relish in.

Here's to the Gator coaches and players having a great year and winning season. And here's to us being able to enjoy it all as a part of Gator Nation.

    Go Gators.:)

I want to see both sides of the ball play with some fire, urgency and fundamentally sound on a continuous basis. It seemed like last year's team did it occasionally. I also want to see them improve from week to week. Someone on the team needs to step up and be that inspirational leader of the likes of Tebow and Lawrence Wright. I can live with not winning a national championship but I just can't stand having the Vandys and Kentuckys look like they are better coached than we are.

Hope springs eternal right before the beginning of the season.

Although we are in the second season in the Napier era, how many players do we have who are in their first season here?

I gotta believe that we bottomed out and are on the rise again. The schedule is tough but 8-4 is there for the taking, even more is possible although not likely this year due to our youth and lack of experienced depth.

I don’t expect much more next year with Lagway as a true freshman either. 25 I have higher hopes for though.
