I think most of us, regardless of political affiliation, just want competent leadership. trump isn’t able to provide that.

Romney was the Republican choice for President just over 10 years ago, and he won his 2018 GOP primary (in a red state) with over 70% of the vote. Doesn't seem to me that his ideology or positions have changed but that MAGA dislikes him because he's been critical of Trump and voted for conviction.

 

Says the guy who started a thread about driving on the wrong side of the street while not wearing a seat belt. There are an estimated 234 million licensed drivers in the US, nobody really needed to read about one particularly inept one.

 

No, Bernie is an independent who caucuses with Democrats in the senate. But Will Hurd is literally a Republican. Here's his website. It says he's a Republican. You should check it out. He's says a lot of stuff that I think you would agree with.

That we elected such a man to represent this great country on the world stage has been a profound embarrassment. Policies have always been the second most important thing for me, character and integrity first. Anyone who says Trump possesses the latter two is plain nuts.

 

So you were asleep in 2016 and 2020 when Bernie ran for the Democratic nomination? Or are you saying millions of democrat voters are too stupid to recognize a fellow democrat when they see one?

 

And yet that guy still beat the guy below who routinely spoke before much larger crowds in the same election campaign by almost 8 million votes when it really counted.

 

My guess is that Will Hurd fails what is probably the most important litmus test of @UFLawyer. Hurd believes that Trump is probably guilty of most of the allegations in the indictments that have been handed up against the defeated former president. And before he replies, yes Trump is still presumed innocent and not guilty until a trial jury returns a guilty verdict.

 

Wait. So you're now saying running for the nomination of a given party makes one a member of that party? Then you must agree that Will Hurd is a Republican, right?
