I had empathy for their position in 2016. I felt like trump was all smoke, mirrors, and buffoonery at that time. But, his (in)ability to govern was still just an educated guess. However, my attempts to identify with any logical, sane reasoning to support trump has long since dissipated in the face of overwhelming evidence that he is the con I always presumed him to be. How any reasonable person could still lend support to this traitor is beyond my ability to comprehend. They’re either self-absorbed, psychopathic narcissists, or just complete idiots.
