It can never be that the accusation of crime eliminates the connection to official duties. There is a federal office of election integrity— which suggests it’s an executive duty. Crimes committed with respect to election integrity arguably abuse that duty and bring the charges within the removal statute. The arguments will be interesting and very novel.

I'm curious if he just made this up on the spot and it came as a complete surprise to his team.

He will just further double down on his lies. At this point, his only defense is to further polarize America and start nation-wide violence. That, or go to jail.

Irrefutable evidence could have been presented in the courts. What he has is videos of boxes being moved around, Italian satellites and signatures slightly off from their registration cards.

No one has ever explained how the Dems were so slick to flip the presidential election but didn't bother to do the same thing to give themselves a solid majority in the Senate.

What you can't do if you suspect election fraud is to tell the counters to change the tallies to one more vote than you need to win.

In the wake of a federal indictment accusing former President Donald Trump of attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election, Americans 54 - 42 percent think Trump should be prosecuted on criminal charges, according to a Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University national poll released today. Democrats (95 - 5 percent) and independents (57 - 37 percent) think the former president should be prosecuted on criminal charges for allegedly attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
Keeping in mind that independents are the swing voters who will determine the winning presidential candidate.

More polling - these from Fox News.

    https://thehill.com/homenews/campai...oters-think-trump-did-something-illegal-poll/

In a recent Fox News poll, a majority of registered voters, 53 percent, said they think Trump “did something illegal” related to “efforts to overturn the 2020 election.”

The survey released Wednesday also found that 20 percent of registered voters think Trump “did something wrong” but “not illegal.” Another 24 percent said the former president “did nothing seriously wrong.”

    ****

The same survey revealed a drop in the number of voters who think the Department of Justice’s “treatment” of the former president “is politically motivated,” from 55 percent in June to 51 percent this month. Parallel to those findings, there was a rise in those who said the department’s actions against the former president are not “politically motivated.”

Almost like he could put out a statement to leave the jurors alone. But, nope, just like the riot, “they’re criming for me” :)
