It's been pretty obvious from the start. I am curious though to see how it all pans out. Attempts to create other football leagues to compete with the NFL always fail, so how will taking a popular product that's similar but also very different and remodeling it into basically what could be viewed as a competing product (2 conferences, 12 game playoff, professional players that swap teams before their uniforms are broken in, etc...) work out in the long run?

Now is the time to invite Clemson just to twist the knife.

As of right now the SEC and B10 have in total 34 teams. 16 and 18 teams. The SEC can pick up 2 more and you have your league wilh the majority of the best teams from the FBS.

2-9 team divisions per conference with rotating schedules. 6 division, 3 conference and 3 from the other conference. No cupcakes.

Top 3 from each division in a 12 team playoff

I’m afraid if they invite Clemson then ref$u will be next. Just say no to expansion beyond 16 until the dust settles

I'm not sure what happens in the BIG, but I think after travel expenses the Bowl money is combined and split in the SEC.

Not sure whether this has been discussed. The real fallout of the expansion is the now disconnect between what was agreed to with the 12-team playoff setup (who gets in and the payout to the conferences) and the acumen of the players (teams/conferences). Seems to me that the ACC and Pac 12 may disintegrate for no other reason than some quality teams are going to go to irrelevant status in their conference setups and they leave because there aren't any other viable options.

What I am more wanting to see is what happens to the so-called legacy schools and even the more recent additions, where the newcomers are better pieces to a greater sport: real AAA football. Vandy is a prime example of a legacy and USCe (versus Clemson) is a lesser piece for AAA football. What I mean is that except for a few states, they get ONE major league team in a sport due to limited resources of that state. And I can not fathom a real AAA league with two teams from Mississippi. Auburn is sort of an annoying teenager and will probably hang in there.

There’s many things I don’t like about tge nfl and I rarely watch it anymore but at least all their games are legit. Some of the games colleges s hedule should literally be criminal and colleges should be sued for injuries in mismatches.

Saturday vs. Sunday is all I've got.

But as I said to a friend the other day, keep taking away more and more of those things that once separated college football from the pros and see where your greed gets you. Hopefully a giant boot to the balls of the entire sport.

With the addtiion of Washington and Oregon, the B1G 10+ will have 18 schools: Maryland, Rutgers, Penn State, Indiana, Purdue, Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Northwestern, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, UCLA, Southern Cal, Oregon and Washington. It will be interesting if the conference discards divisions and goes to a pod system. But 18 teams makes it difficult. 16 or 20 teams divide into 4 pods-4 teams per pod or 5 teams per pod. But 18 divided by 4 pods would be two pods of four and 2 pods of 5.

They have already said they are dumping divisions when they went to 16, don't think they go back to them for 18.

It’s not about winning, it’s about money. The Power 2 is going to leave everyone in the dust and they know they need to do something to compete in the future.

I'd much rather we stay in the system we have than go into pods, really. Pods reminds me of the manufactured rivalries and the less than important games that you can lose to get into the playoffs. All games scheduled matter in college football, and no matter how hard some try to emulate the NFL... I want the college game to keep it's uniqueness with college like schedules, systems and rivalries that matter.

But... in pods... I would want to keep UGA, TENN, USCe and Kentucky if we ever go to a 20 team conference.
