Think Orange script would look better then the blue on the helmet.

 

Don't like any other uniform combo besides what has been traditional.
Can't imagine SOS ever allowing this team to wear an alternate uniform!
Blue Shirts and white pants at home and either Blue, Orange or White pants away with White shirts.
And of course Orange helmets always!

 

Looks like our guys are going to a Funeral and not a football game to play for the Gators!

Lol, SOS didn't wear orange helmet when he was a player....so what exactly is "traditional"?
I grew up loving the interlocking UF on the helmet, is that tradition, or the block F used before it, or the script gators used now? UF helmets and uniforms have evolved all over the place.

 

I associate the orange helmets and script Gators with our ascension to elite status in the early 80s. The helmets should never change from that point forward

Damn right we should, when wearing the Orange jerseys as our primary we have no losing seasons, the Blue..lots of them.

 

Matt black jerseys with iridescent orange would be so much better. Forget the white... and maybe keep some of the blue.

I didn’t say that, but I will say that every uniform combination should always have either white pants or white jerseys. Blue should be the primary color to go with the white. I know it brings back some rough memories but I do like seeing orange jerseys from time to time. But again, always with white. Blue or orange - but always with white. Otherwise we look like we’re wearing onesies out there - or worse

 

So full disclosure, I'm somewhat playing devils advocate. We all have our favorite combos....this is mine.

I hate all blueor all orange unis, and I hate a blue top and orange pant. I prefer the white helmet to orange. I think the script Gators looks dated....I love the block F or interlocked UF
I can also tell you my texts have blown up today from high school and college athletes I coached as kids. And they 100% are loving the black uniform. Literally not one negative comment. So yeah, I have no problem with a one-off game wearing something the players and recruits love a lot.

 

But if you love the helmet and won't change it because tha's what we wore when rising to an elite level, why wouldn't that apply to the jersey as well? You are just picking and choosing what you like....just like everyone else is.
