Is this one of those "first time the Gators have played an away game W of Texas" games? I think the last away game "up north" was against Syracuse in 91 or 92. Missouri is probably the furthest north the Gators have played in quite some time.
I'm with you. Technically, we start every season undefeated. Until the games are played and there's a reason to put tears into beers, you're not gonna catch me crying about what hasn't happened yet. I'd rather watch with cautious optimism and, more importantly, scream my guts out for the few games I am blessed to attend. Just bought three new Gator shirts for the new season. Maybe one of them will be the new "lucky" shirt that then has to be worn to every game.
Syracuse in 91. One of the most frustrating games I ever recall. We weren't mentally ready after blowing out Bama and I believe some of our players said we were "afraid" of their astroturf. We played like it. The loss arguably cost us an NC or at least being able to play for one. I still have nightmares about Kirby Dar Dar.
Kuthie been out long enough to recover. Losing Kincaid is gonna to play a roll more than Kuthie returning from an ACL injury. Dealing with that 2 headed monster last year was brutal.
that's a pretty nice streak.....I bet its been a while since the Gators have had a 14 game home winning streak.
Regardless who starts for Utah, this team has to play inspired and relentless. If Utah is without their starting qb and other key players it's even more important for UF to play at their best. Can't forget losing to an underdog and undermanned roster LSU team at home a few years ago. A loss should it happen to Utah with their key players missing would be imo a catastrophe.
I've been hearing a lot of players say they have a lot to prove and silence doubters. We’ll find out if it's player speak or real pride and maybe even anger.
If Utah was playing today, Bryson Barnes would be the starting quarterback As of today's practice, Rising has yet to be cleared to scrimmage.
Does the 20 hrs of coach contact a week rule apply during fall camp? Because Utah has 10 days to get Rising cleared to play before game week prep starts. I just don't see them playing him if he hasn't at least take a live scrimmage before the game.
