Anybody check out the skies over the past couple nights?
I took my daughter outside the past two nights and we saw 25 shooting stars. A couple of them were spectacular…like rocket ships blasting through.
I love it when the moon and the clouds make way.
Perseid meteor shower lights up skies

Neighbor has a nice telescope and we plan to have a fire, drink whiskey and look up but it has been stormy. Running out of time.

@obgator, the OP is off topic? :emoji_joy::emoji_joy:
    I think I miss much.

I went out for a few last night and didn’t see any.

Typically I see at least 2-3 a week as it is, I live where there is less light pollution so I’m lucky in that regard.

Some nights I can even see the galactic spiral

We were out there at 1:30 am.
    It was very consistent action.

We drove out Sunday morning to a state park about 40 minutes from here. We got there about 4 AM, which was supposed to be the peak action. Perfect conditions with no clouds, wide-open visibility, and only a sliver of a crescent moon just above the horizon.

We saw a good number of meteors with some really spectacular ones. However, it was not the 90 per hour I had read would be the peak.
