Kelby has been my dude since I predicted his recruitment would end with UF. Never worried about him flipping to Bama either. He will be a force on our Dline. Him and Cam Jackson plus others will wreak havoc on opposing Olines this year.
Why did we wait for an injury to move Sapp back to his natural position? We have enough bodies at DT and Sapp is clearly undersized for that position. Does he struggle to set the edge? Not fast enough? I'm sure there is a good reason why they were going to keep him inside and am hoping someone might be able to share what they know. This seems like a Franks/Trask situation. I have a feeling at the end of the year we'll say "if it weren't for the Boone injury, Sapp wouldn't be an all-conference player". Edit - I just watched some of his highlights and he probably lacks the speed and quickness needed on the edge. Kelby will see the field a lot.
On 3rd and 7+ yards or a 2nd and 15 yards, teams will put 2 big time pass rushers in. As in Princely and Kelby. Forcing quick passes that are incomplete or short of yards to gain. So I can see both in at same time.
Indeed and you might see Sapp move inside to DT next to McClellan with Kelby and Princely on the edge.
It sounds like Pyburn has gotten a lot better since last season. Bigger, stronger, faster, and with a high-rpm motor. I don't know if he starts but he'll see a lot of action.
Different positions. Princely is at OLB now and Collins is at DE. Looking forward to these monsters making a big difference for our D.
Either Pyburn or Sapp will start. Collins is a true freshman and has been in a non contact jersey for part of camp, the 2 with more experience in the system will play.
