Whew...the suspense was killing me.

World's worst kept secret... Lol.

 

He was the leader all along and now the job is officially his. He's got experience, sounds like a leader, and from the clips I've seen, he's got a good arm and better mobility than expected. If the staff give him the plays and the system best suited to his strengths, he'll be a good QB for the Gators. I think we'll be happy.

 

I think Mertz's success depends as much on the 5 in front of him as his talent/ability. Here's hoping for a much better year that expected.

based on the artilces and hype, we have the best line since The Great Wall of Florida. From what I remeber reading about the srping game, he ran for his life, but still had a respectable completion percentage and yardage. I think he'll have better WRs here than at Wiscy (assuming the freshman hype is correct) and a decent line will enable him to do better than previous years. Lean on the graound game, manage the game and an improved D will get us to "much better than expected".

 

Where did you see that? From what I've read, we've only got 3 proven players on the O-line.
