He's waiting to see how much Trump will pay him to run. Maybe they're negotiating it. But Manchin better make damn sure he gets paid in advance.

Yeah, that JFKJr effort is a joke.

This R hijack might actually work.

I want to see Trump win with less than 40% of the popular vote and then pardon himself. Popcorn will replace cryptocurrency.

Flood the field with " 3rd party candidates", hoping it dilutes votes for Biden and they get their orange king and everyone lives happily ever after. Then he can pardon himself and/or otherwise make the entire matter (federal indictments) go away. Then the vengeance tour begins. Toss in a heavy dose of authoritarianism. to hell with the consequences, yay team! Good times.

Ironic, since you're complaining about a democratic process playing out. Who's the authoritarian? All of the sudden, there can't be 3rd party candidates?

I have to imagine this is all part of an effort to put some distance between him and Biden in WV a state that is heavily pro Trump, and to give him more leverage. I doubt he will actually run, as he won’t win.

Not saying that at all as my point sails right over your head.

Trump once mused about running as a 3rd party candidate. Why didn't you bring that up??

Not relevant to my point as I never suggested it should not be allowed.

Oh, so it was okay when Trump did it but now it's not okay when Manchin talks about it?

Again, not taking the position that it should not be allowed. Point missed yet again.

No, I see clearly what the position is. It's okay if Trump does it, but when somebody else tries to do it, they're just being like Donald Trump.

I hope he runs just for the entertainment.
And if you think he can't win, you are crazy.

Yeah, he can't win. Much like DeSantis (or anybody but Trump) was never winning the Republican Primary, Manchin isn't winning the general election.

He likely loses his next senate race to a very popular governor and he knows that. He’s just trying To milk it and cash in while he’s in the bigs

Kushner kinda leans left, doesn't he? I could see Jared running as a 4th party candidate, just to take that 0.5% away from Biden and hand the election to Trump, who will then in turn immediately declare war on Ukraine, China and Iran.
