Hunter Biden to plead guilty to federal charges

The difference is people on the left don't worship Biden so if he is proven to have committed crimes there won't be as much resistance to holding him accountable or desperately looking/hoping for loopholes or technicalities that will result in him getting off.

In fact, if Biden very obviously committed a crime, but got off on a technicality because the DOJ messed up the indictment or he skates on being immune solely of being President or tries to pardon himself I'd be pissed in any one of those scenarios.

 

Yes, this is very good news. This has been going on so long and so much information and disinformation has been thrown around by both sides. It needs to be spearheaded by someone to finally put it to rest and the guy who has been overseeing it is the best option to give an actual final report.

Seems like they'd pick someone who wasn't involved all these years if they thought a special counsel is warranted?

Didn’t Barr appoint Weiss to investigate Hunter during the Trump years? Removing him now would seem 100% overtly political. This is actual a pretty elegant result that should make both sides happy. Let’s move past the noise and get down to actual facts. Probably should have happened a while back had they not been working on a plea deal.

Being a Barr appointee doesn't carry much weight given Barr's continual denunciations of the leading opposition candidate. Weiss constructed this sweetheart plea deal and a federal judge ended up throwing it out. Obviously, there's a problem here and Weiss isn't the solution.

 

Odd, seeing how none of that exists to implicate Biden in a rational, thinking mind.

Tough position since the existing prosecutor asked. If Garland declined then it may appear that he's sidelining the Trump who appointee with five years of experience for "his guy" who will just sweep everything under the rug.
