Conspiring with fake electors in multiple states, such as Arizona and Georgia, makes this a Federal case.
I don’t think it’s based on losses so much as some of the arguments he’s made - he’s more of a media celebrity now than a practicing lawyer.
The propagandized are propagandized. It is really scary! Most people are not aware enough to remember how the media portrayed Trumps speech. In a court of law if you read the speech and do not cite who spoke it. No one would blink and eye and agree with the speech. But you say Trump and cut/splice…you create an IGNORANT CLASS! We are in trouble. As some of it is not ignorance but a true hate for this Great Nation!
One of the great debates on abortion is Dershowitz v Keyes. My opinion is Keyes owned it but I also shared Keyes Life side. People really should watch that debate! That said…Dershowitz is fair and brilliant!
I'm sorry but some of you are out of your minds if you think the DOJ made an enormous and monumental error in this case that would lead to it being thrown out before a trial given the number of experienced prosecutors and scrutiny that would have been applied prior to a charging decision. Could Trump be acquitted? Of course. He's going to put on a defense and a jury of people will decide. Could Trump be convicted and then win on appeal? Sure. But there's a near zero chance of "oops that isn't actually a crime that we charged you with."
That might be. Doesn't seem to be spitballing imo. It's not as if Smith doesn't have a considerable amount of communications and written documentation. Whether he can make a case to a jury, well that's a different story. OTOH, when I see pundits claim Smith's indictment is a "master stroke" etc. I'm just like stfu with that type of hype.
Trump wasn't charged with speech or inciting a riot. He was charged for being part of the fake electors scheme. The constant goalpost moving in the kook media won't fly.
In which state... Is it the state that Chief Justice Roberts interfered with? The state in which he and the governor grabbed the Legislature's power and purview of the elections in that state? One that changed the Legislatures deadline for ballots to be in the precincts? The law that the Legislature had the sole right to change or alter?
Since it's a federal election, none of that matters. But all those issues have been litigated and none have been deemed valid. Another goalpost moving failure.
Your man JACK is the one moving the goal posts. You don't even know what it means.. sit this one out.
Remember when Trump said to just call the election corrupt and leave the rest to him? Well, the case against Trump is there was a coordinated effort, with Trump as the ringleader, to illegally overturn the election and keep Trump in power unconstitutionally. Trump knew the election wasn't rigged, as his Presidential Attorney Pat Cippilone and and AG Barr both told him that. But that didn't stop Trump from causing chaos on Jan 6 and an attempt to get his fake electors from multiple states to vote for Trump instead of Biden. This is absolutely a Fed case. Multiple state jurisdictions means only the Feds can handle it on a large scale. States like GA can and have pursued cases against Trump on their own too. Jan 6 was more than just a riot. It was a failed autogolpe attempt by Trump to remain in power. And people who attempt a coup and fail often face legal issues for their illegal acts they tried to usurp power.
He’s a celebrity, because he’s a very damn good lawyer. He will defend anybody with the Constitution, if he’s able. He’s not wrong either. To indict an ex-POTUS and leading opposition candidate and leave out key facts from the indictment deserves a great deal of scrutiny. Dershowitz has actually railed against the GOP for going after Biden. I haven’t listened to his arguments there, but for context, there is that.
