Plan B … There is little evidence that the US had a Plan B. There should have been a sophisticated analysis of potential blow-backs, side-effects, boomerangs, and possible outright failures of Plan A. Something similar to an Environmental Impact Statement should have been prepared. A “Conflict Impact Statement” would have analyzed alternatives to the proposed action, as well as the potential side-effects of each alternative. It is unclear whether anything like this was produced. However, it is unlikely that many American politicians, steeped in exceptionalism and hubris, would have considered a backup plan necessary or desirable. Looks like the Russian offensive towards Kharkiv has begun. Ukraine has ordered evacuations in towns just east of Kharkiv. Ukrainian infantry groups have mostly retreated west across the bank of the Oskil river in anticipation of Russian takeover. IMO, this is a major development as Kharkiv is vulnerable and would be a significant loss for Ukraine if Russia is able to re-take it. Up until now, Ukraine have reinforced this area to the east of Kharkiv, but having spent so many resources and losing them, they're reluctant to reinforce further. Frankly, I think Kharkiv is more important than cutting off the land bridge. Russia is well entrenched in Crimea. Losing Kharkiv would be a major setback.

French missiles now in play. These targeted, longer range precision strikes on ligistics and control centers are going to ramp up. Give them atacms to add to the matris and crimea will be cut off to everything but a boat or a mule. This should have happened before any attempted offense but the west held the tech back. And Biden continues to hold it with "military sources" saying that inventory is limited and not enough to share. Not buying it
