Before FSU does...theyve been picking a few good ones from the Dawgs...IMO Bowens made a really foolish move. His best case is possibly seeing the field but his max is probably a one third split on downs.
Nah, he burned us and we're stacked right now anyway. If our RB's perform this year as expected, shouldn't have a problem recruiting RBs any time soon.
Talent is talent. Get him. Kirby didn’t get to where UGA is by stacking choir boys on top of choir boys.
A total of at least 37 (old number?) players have departed/been given the old heave ho due to unsuitability of one sort or another. That doesn't sound like somebody who doesn't have the backbone or integrity to do what has to be done to clean up the mess left behind by DM. I don't have much patience with knee-jerk cynicism or glib asides about the futility of demanding the best from people. I don't think CBN does either.
So, here's my take on this article I posted. The writer's at "Hail, Florida, Hail" seem to express wishful thinking, and it is not reality based. I do think they could be right--UGA is stacked at RB and UF only has only one for 2024. I would see no harm in UF offering him a carrot, as he could only say yes or no. I think Candy is right, UF has moved on. However, I agree with Will Thomas, what would be the harm in UF checking in with Bowens?
If I had to guess, I think next season they want RB1: Branson Robinson - true junior RB2: Roderick Robinson - idk if they'll RS him this year; true soph/rs fresh RB3: free for all I can see them pushing Andrew Paul and Kyron Jones out and Whitehead just being a body for em until the 2024 class overtakes him. We'll see
Yep. These kids will find out fast that it’s a privilege to be offered by UF, and if they choose to play games with us they will not get another chance. Should give them cause to pause if Kirby or anyone else tries to get them to troll us.
The die-hard Gator fan side of me says hell no to this... But I also have faith in that CBN knows what he's doing building the program and team chemistry. So if CBN wanted him and got him, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.
I wouldn't lose any sleep over it either. But I'd be surprised and disappointed to see us circle back to him - unless there are some mitigating circumstances concerning the "snake in the grass stunt" this kid apparently pulled on us that we don't currently know about. Barring new info, I will remain a hard pass on this guy, and I expect that BN will too.
Been watching some games from last year. Astounding how many won't be back. I'd like to see a list but probably easier to list returnees.
I think on precedent you don’t. With the momentum we are having recruiting, you have to have the mentality of moving on. If you don’t, kids start believing that they can commit, leave and then hope they can come back. If you just move on all together, it tells kids to quit shopping around once you commit.
yea I can get on board with this because at SOME point as a staff...you have to let your b@lls hang a bit. Now if Chauncey were to reach back out to the staff putting feelers out, and this is all hypothetical as there's been no sign that has or/and will happen, then as a staff you should only entertain it if he's going to 1000000% flip back. None of that reaching back out to UF just to stroke his ego and string us along
Exactly! And I know we may have benefitted from it on both sides in the past….but that’s just my belief.
