My boy, Ques Glover, apparently is going to walk away from BYU over NIL money and head to another P6 school.
It is free agency for the grad students. If he ends up at Georgia, I will give up following sports, will move to Tibet and will become a monk.
Methinks he is looking for as big of a payday as he can for his last season. Not much after this. Maybe Europe.
None, but his height won't pay dividends in the next level. He isn't going to be Bogues 2.0. It is what it is.
After Glover transferred earlier this year, it was reported that he had interest in such schools as Memphis, Tennessee and LSU among other Power 5 schools and it was surprising when he signed with BYU. Now it’s on to school #4 for Ques and being I would imagine he could be eligible for a sixth year because of Covid, it would not be a shock if he if doesn’t shoot for a school #5 after this season.
This is Glover’s last season. He’s not allowed to play six seasons. His decision to go to BYU was not really a shocker. BYU will be in the Big 12 conference this coming season, which probably is the best basketball conference in the country and has the best point guards. He clearly was going to have to prove his mettle. I don’t have a clue as to where Glover might be headed, but I do believe that he will be at least an NBA G league player or will play overseas somewhere. Assuming he is fully recovered from his knee injury, where, and how he plays this season, could dictate a lot about his future.

There are about a half a dozen articles about glovers transfer that appeared in the last 24 hours. BYU did not get him much NIL money. It sounds like he was promised that they would. BYU‘s coach, Mark pope, is taking the blame for Glover leaving the program. It seems to me that Pope is dumping some blame on himself that he doesn’t deserve. He states in the articles that he’s already spending 30% to 40% of his time on trying to raise money for whatever BYU NIL organizations that are out there. This seems to me to be a little ridiculous. If you’re going to recruit someone on the basis of, among other things, paying him a reasonable NIL amount, you’re gonna have to follow through. The responsibility for that would seem to me to be more in the hands of BYU alumni who care about the basketball and football programs.
