Are we doing the GC betting game this year?

Yeah, realty usually pops back in about two weeks prior to the season. He's like clockwork.

 

I believe RealtyGator runs the show - I’m in for volunteering again.

After we upset Utah (again) I promise not to blow all my points going all in on the Gators against Kentucky this year.

I'd like to give it a go this year.

 

Yep, he's got a routine, and he usually shows up about 2 weeks before his picks thread gets started.

 

Well you would know Mr. Past Champion. LOL!

I think @ApexNC snared both football and basketball last year. Only time it's been done . . . but Rick was right there.

He's right though. @RealtyGator opens the doors about 7-10 days ahead of our Game 1 and runs the show with help from a few others who were kind enough to pitch in last year.

Yeah, I'll play . . . unless it takes up someone else's spot that wants to play. I make it a little farther every year. LOL!

 

You know I was just having some fun. I remember you playing last year. You should ask MCB51 to play too. The more the merrier.

I think I remember Realty say that if more people volunteer to help him with the scoring that he would let more than 30 people play, but I could be mistaken.

We'll see. You know I just noticed that there are several annual players that hardly ever post much in the off season.

I won't mention their names out loud but it's an interesting dynamic.

 

For the past couple of years I've been wanting to start a "pick'em" type contest on the board. I didn't want to do it with Realty's going on, because there should really only be one (IMO). So if Realty doesn't do his, I would be happy to do mine. If not, I'm definitely in for Realty's again. I think I came in 2nd or 3rd last year... This year is my year, I just know it!!!!

 

We have an interesting one at work. You have to pick a winner every week, but you can only pick a team once. I came in tied for 3rd last year out of the 41 who entered. Vanderbilt beating Kentucky in Week 11 put me out of the game The rest of my picks were locks.

What happens if you make it to week 12 and you've already picked all 8 of the teams a available?

 

What's that? LOL.

 

You have to plan ahead. If you don't have a team to pick that week because you have used up the teams playing that week, it counts as a loss and you are eleminated.

Yep, lol. It's fun, though. We're about to start year 3. Out of 41 players last year, 2 made it to the end of the regular season.

Tie breakers, in order, are:

1) SEC Title game winner
2) SEC Title game total points
3) SEC Title game winner's points

 

Thanks for all the information @ValdostaGatorFan . . . I hope you win your office contest. @RealtyGator has run the Swamp Gas pick 'em contest for years and, unless he tells us otherwise, we'll be looking for the informational post in a couple of weeks or so.
